The witness and a relative were camped in a tent on a deer lease near a creek and river in Texas. Late at night they heard distant whooping calls that approached along the water to close range and continued for over an hour, ending with a deep powerful growl while the surrounding woods went silent. The witness reported falling asleep out of fear during the sounds, and no visual encounter was described.

Late at night the witness was driving north on a highway through farmland. A very large, black-haired biped ran across the road from left to right in about two seconds, covering the lanes in two leaps. The figure appeared hunched forward with long arms swinging low, briefly turned its head toward the driver, then disappeared into an open field.

The witness was sitting in a deer stand above a creek in heavily wooded bottomland waiting for deer. After smelling a musky odor and hearing leaves rustling behind the stand, the witness turned and saw a large dark-brown hairy biped across the creek about 60 yards away walking parallel to the water. The creature briefly turned its head toward the witness, continued swiftly with its arms swinging, and stayed in view for 10 to 15 seconds before moving away through trees.

He noticed a dark, upright figure running across the road from left to right with swinging arms, continuing into the trees without slowing. After the second knock they walked toward the sound and the witness produced a howl and a knock, which was quickly answered by another knock. They then heard an additional knock from the opposite side of the truck and left the area after hearing nothing more.

The witness was camping overnight with two companions. After the group made a howl and a growl, they heard chatter from across the parking lot followed seconds later by a wood knock from farther away in the same direction. The witness answered with two wood knocks using a stick but got no response.
Possible daylight sighting by motorist 11 miles west of Honobia
The witness was driving toward Honobia in the morning when a reddish-brown figure was seen crossing the highway ahead. The figure moved very quickly on two legs on a diagonal path and disappeared within seconds. The witness later returned to search both sides of the highway for tracks but found none.
Nighttime motorist sighting 25 miles NW of Spokane
The driver was driving south at night with three child passengers after a football game when a large dark figure was noticed in tall grass in a roadside ditch. The driver reports it was an ape-like, black-haired being crouched in the ditch that stared at the vehicle and stepped back on two legs as they passed. After passing, the driver turned around for another look but the figure was gone, which the child passengers also observed.

On a side trail the witness encountered a human-sized hairy figure eating leaves, then a taller female figure that gestured to the smaller one to stay calm and made a strange vocalization toward the trail behind. While leaving near the parking lot the witness saw an even taller male figure behind a rock staring, then left quickly and remained distressed afterward.

They heard paired loud wood-on-wood knocks coming from two different directions that seemed to respond to each other and to the witness's own knocking. After reuniting, the group continued to hear knocks, including a single closer knock behind them and sounds of movement behind them.

He also heard four whistles and saw a second smaller dark figure moving in cover nearby. He watched for about 30 minutes before having to leave.

After the hunt he checked the access points and found no other people or vehicles.

They observed a large upright creature crossing a road on thermal, approaching to about 90 feet, then fleeing into a thicket where facial details were seen. Over an extended period around noon, repeated loud knocks were heard from varying directions and distances, first alone and later with a companion. The witness was driving after taking kids to school and slowing to turn when a tall black figure was noticed just behind the treeline. The figure was upright on two thick legs and ran quickly deeper into the woods when the witness slowed for a better look. Only a partial view was obtained, and the witness felt size, shape and speed did not match known local wildlife.

The witness was driving to work before dawn when the headlights lit up a very tall, dark, hairy biped in the road ahead. The figure crossed from left to right at a brisk walk with swinging arms and disappeared into vegetation at the roadside without looking at the driver. The witness later returned in daylight with a companion and noted worn crossing areas on both sides of the road.

She saw a very tall silhouetted figure walk across the road ahead, pause to turn and face the passing tractor, then step into the woods and disappear. The companion said he had not seen the figure. Days later after watching a television program, the witness associated the encounter with Bigfoot reports.
