The witness was hiking alone in a large state forest to decompress after midterms and to catch sunset views. On a side trail the witness encountered a human-sized hairy figure eating leaves, then a taller female figure that gestured to the smaller one to stay calm and made a strange vocalization toward the trail behind. While leaving near the parking lot the witness saw an even taller male figure behind a rock staring, then left quickly and remained distressed afterward.
