Soon after arriving, they heard movement in multiple directions. The witness repeatedly shone a high-powered beam about thirty feet to a spot with two trees and a three-foot rock. A small reflective eye appeared, disappeared, then reappeared peeking from behind the tree for nearly five minutes, showing one eye then two lighter amber eyes. It stayed low behind the rock, watching the light. A large branch break during the watch was only noticed later on the recorder, and as they drove away it appeared to stand higher watching them.

From the deck at night the witness heard what sounded like two large creatures screaming and roaring at each other as if arguing. A couple days later another person reported many freshly broken trees in the same uphill area. The witness linked the sounds and damage as a possible conflict.

While walking out from creeks on a large listed property, the group found a freshly broken small pine laid across the middle of the road. As photos were taken, loud mean-sounding grunting came from below. One buyer climbed onto the vehicle in fear and later declined the property.

As they passed it, the phone voice assistant triggered unprompted and a rock came over a cedar thicket and landed twelve to fifteen yards away. They backed down the hill facing the area and left to discuss it.

A friend took the commenter to an old logging landing where three woven huts of decreasing size stood with branches torn off trees and interwoven. They felt watched while there.

The witness said he was with friends around a campfire in far northern wilderness when they heard two huge booms like giant footsteps. Immediately after they heard a gigantic tree breaking in half. He said they did not seek the creature then but understood later.

From a thicket they heard a vibrating alligator-like sound changing to a loud raspy purring growl, then screaming roars while trees shook violently in different directions. They fired shotguns over the trees, ran out, and later found broken boughs missing and no hoof or claw marks.

The commenter was in Poor Valley south of Tazewell feeding Appalachian Trail hikers two weeks earlier. While chatting with a hiker they heard a wood-splitting sound and a huge tree crash down. Thick foliage prevented seeing the fall.

Her grandfather also reported strange lights and eyeshine, and the family noticed snapped trees and odd rock arrangements.

A stuffed toy was repeatedly moved and damaged, and the team noted prints, an eggshell placed on a stump, and oddly arranged and bent sticks. Activity paused when cameras were placed and resumed after removal.

A few days after restarting the electric fence the witness found a fifteen to twenty foot log shoved eight inches into rocky ground and balanced high in branches. Friends removed it, but weeks later it had been moved outside the fence.
