Property disturbance (1976)
The teller and companions camped in a marshy cedar area after being asked to watch for activity. One man bedded down in a canvas pitcher tent and said a large hand reached under and dragged him. They found large human-like tracks and a knee impression behind the tent, then heard distant screams and circling sounds through the night while keeping up a large fire.

The witness was riding in a truck with family members to a familiar camping area when they came around a corner and saw a creature drinking at a pool. It first moved on all fours with its hindquarters raised and walking sideways while watching them, then stood and ran on two legs leaning forward with no arm swing and a smooth gliding motion. The father stopped, got out and fired several pistol shots as it fled around a bend, after which it gave a loud roar or scream. The group continued to camp for three days, during which the father remained nervous and jumped up armed during the night.

While heading back to their truck at dusk during an elk hunt, the witness and a companion felt watched and heard a loud scream lasting several minutes from behind trees, along with banging and branch breaking. While walking in a remote forested area near a lake at twilight, the witness saw a large reddish figure cross a dirt road and enter dense forest. The figure reportedly noticed the witness, then ran uphill paralleling the road while emitting a loud distress-like scream with heavy footfalls. The frightened witness fled the area.

The witness was camping with a scout troop when loud howl-like screams were heard late at night. A few hours later, after being awakened by rustling in nearby brush, the group shone a flashlight into the treeline and saw a tall hair-covered figure watching them. The witness was outside at a relative's rural farm at night when a loud, hair-raising vocalization was heard from across a lake. The witness ran to a shed where two relatives were working but had not heard the sound. Horses nearby became agitated and later avoided the area where the sound originated until daylight.

The witness had been sleeping in the back of his pickup at a secluded clearing after a late work shift. He heard loud, strange voices approaching rapidly through dense brush, smelled a strong foul odor, and sensed something large vault over the truck. He then saw a large dark shape moving away into the treeline while vocalizing, then drove away.

The group found the deer alive but severely injured with a twisted hind leg and broken antlers; a responding game warden shot it and released it to them, and dressing showed a dislocated hip, broken backbone and badly bruised meat.

Four people sleeping outdoors beside a river were awakened around 2 a.m. by loud screaming from across the river. The source paced the far bank, crossed the river, snapped a fallen log, approached within 10 feet while screaming and giving off a strong odor, then recrossed the river and left up the hill over about 25 minutes. Nothing was seen because it was pitch dark.

The witness was at a summer youth camp at Indian Lake in the mid-1970s. At night around the campfire the group heard loud yells from the direction of the dam that seemed to get closer, and counselors sent everyone to bed. Later in a teepee the witness felt the ground shake with loud booming steps and was held still by a counselor; the camp broke quickly the next morning.

A tall hair-covered figure stood up, screeched, faced him briefly, then walked toward the forest like a man. He later found flattened cattails and a strong urine odor at the spot.

Two teenagers stopped for a few minutes by a small lake or beaver pond while riding dirt bikes on an overgrown logging road. A loud scream lasting up to 15 seconds and varying in pitch came from an opposite ridge about a mile away. Startled, they left immediately and told only immediate family members about what they heard.

The witness and a companion camped overnight in a tent in scrub pine after returning from a motorcycle rally. The witness was riding a horse on a wooded dirt road at dusk when the horse became agitated. After hearing rustling and a loud scream, the witness saw eyes and then a large upright creature that lunged out and seized the saddle. Face to face with the creature, the witness clung to the horse's neck as it bolted without looking back. The saddle was later described as torn with deep gouges.

Boys around age twelve went into a swampy creek bottom to build a fort from bamboo. The birds and frogs went silent, a branch snapped behind them, then they heard a wild scream and running footsteps coming toward them. They fled without looking back and later attributed the chase to Bigfoot.

A few nights later a loud scream and shotgun blasts came from a cattle rancher's property. While following a deputy's patrol car, the witnesses saw the creature run from the dark and be struck, stopping the car. It got up limping, struck the hood, screamed, and left toward the swamp. At the pasture the prize bull was found dead with its torso in one place and head about 100 yards away, followed by an all-night search with dogs and helicopters that found nothing.
