The witness was hunting deer from a ground chair and fell asleep. After waking to a noise and standing up, the witness heard screaming, growling/grunting and trees snapping as something moved away quickly. The witness followed snapped trees to the edge of the hardwoods but found no trail in leaf litter, then returned toward the vehicle.
Human-like footprints are found around a garage heading back into a remote hollow
A garage owner found very large human-like footprints in the snow around a garage set back in the woods. The tracks were said to come out of and return to a densely wooded area called Goulds Hollow after circling the garage. A relative initially dismissed the report but then viewed the tracks himself.

In June 2007 the witness and a companion visited a small lake in Schoolcraft County to fish and look around. At the spot where sand met grass the companion called the witness over to a very large human-shaped footprint. The witness stepped into the print and found it fit but was much bigger.

The witness reports recurring nighttime activity over many years at her parents' wooded property. She and others hear footsteps pacing them along the tree line, loud crashing movement, screeching sounds and cracking noises, often accompanied by a strange smell. Family members and visitors have also reported red eyeshine and ape-like figures, and large footprints were found in snow. An investigator later visited, interviewed family members and noted unusual stick and vegetation features in the woods.

On a winter evening around 10 p.m., the witness opened the door to let a dog out and heard an immense scream-howl from just north of the house. The sound felt like a physical impact and frightened the dog so it would not go outside. The witness's mother also heard the vocalization from inside the house.

The witness and a companion were mushroom hunting when they found about ten barefoot-like prints crossing a muddy stretch of a mostly dry creek. The prints appeared to enter from water on one side and exit into water on the other, heading east toward a nearby river. Late at night the witness paddled a small boat up a creek with two dogs and heard something following on the bank, then a loud blowing noise. The dogs refused to go ashore and later barked intensely. The witness shone a light and saw a large ape-like figure running away over a hill, then noticed a group of tracks while leaving. A skunk-like brassy odor was noted before the sighting.

The witness describes repeated nighttime visits to a rural property over about a year by a family of large hairy creatures that ate fruit, looked in trailer windows, and once bit a penned hog. The witness believes a family of creatures lives nearby, currently including a mother with young, and describes them as shy and non-threatening. Scary encounters outside a rural home near Jackson
The witness and a companion were camping in a tent on the witness's driveway in mid-October. Around 2 a.m. under a full moon, the witness awoke to grunting and snapping trees and saw a large hair-covered figure striking and eating a deer, then dragging it uphill. The figure approached the tent, giving off a strong musky odor and knocking a frying pan from a tree before leaving. In the morning the witness found deer remains, drag marks, and a shelter-like structure of bent and broken pines.

As a boy walking in snow on a relative's farm, the witness claims to have found adult-sized human-like footprints with four toes on each foot in an open field near a road. No photos were taken and similar tracks were noted the following year. Two companions rode an ATV to a clearing by a lake and built a large fire at night. Over the evening they heard deliberate footfalls, pacing and stick breaks in the treeline about sixty yards away and noticed the woods go silent. After the witness knocked on a tree and made a whoop call, they heard knocks in reply and then a long deep guttural growl. They rode toward the sound without seeing anything, then put out the fire and left feeling watched and frightened.

The witness was deer hunting in the morning and waiting against a tree when a nearby deer spooked. He then heard heavy breathing and saw a tall hair-covered upright creature standing a few feet behind him.
