On a cool afternoon in February 2007, the witness and a companion hiked in the woods to look for clues about strange activity. Four men arrived after dark at a family property for an elk hunt and built a campfire. They heard heavy footfalls and branch breaking approaching from a draw, then saw a large light-colored upright figure about 40 feet away at the edge of the firelight. The figure crouched, turned to look at them, then stood and walked away quickly in a few steps. The group sheltered in a trailer and found no tracks the next morning.

A railroad engineer pulling a train out of a siding in slushy snow saw four fresh, widely spaced, large footprints with splayed toes from the cab and believed something had walked down the middle of the tracks. The witness left the main trail alone to explore off-trail toward a nearby lake. In damp decomposed granite he found two sets of fresh footprints, one smaller human-like set and a larger deeper set superimposed on it as if one maker was following the other. The witness's brother was sleeping in a tent in the yard and woke around 12:30 a.m. feeling uneasy after hearing something outside. He looked around the tent, saw nothing, and went inside the house to sleep on the couch. The next morning very large footprints were found right outside the tent in wet sand and were photographed.

While deer hunting with a companion in the morning, the witness discovered a set of very large tracks with visible toe prints along a forest service road. The tracks measured about 16 inches long and appeared fresh following morning rain. The witness, describing experience distinguishing fresh tracks, interpreted them as possibly made by Bigfoot.

The witness reported hearing heavy movement near fruit trees and her husband later heard loud bipedal running and snorting behind their shop. While walking along a grid road in rain he saw a large broad-shouldered figure move very fast into a treed valley and disappear after a few strides. At the apparent crossing point he found a single large water-filled footprint. Earlier that day he had found seven dead birds packed under a crop swath a few hundred yards away.

During a daytime hike up a drainage on 10 Sept, the witness stopped at an old hunting camp and heard two clear wood knocks about 150-200 yards away. After confirming by radio that no other participants were nearby or knocking, the witness knocked back and received an immediate two-knock reply from slightly farther away. Further knocks and whoops over about 30 minutes drew no additional replies, and no movement or odor was noticed. The witness then returned to camp and later revisited the area by ATV with others.

Later near a dried marsh they found widely spaced tracks that turned and appeared to run toward cover, accompanied by a strong foul odor. They left the area for town and returned the next morning to photograph the tracks, when game had returned and the odor was gone.

The witness and a companion were scouting in a state forest when they noticed a strong foul odor. They saw an upright figure down a trail, watched it kneel in palmettos staring at them for many minutes, then saw it stand and cross the trail followed by a smaller similar figure into dense brush. They later found two footprints larger than the witness's foot.

Two people were sitting around a campfire in early-morning darkness when they heard heavy footsteps approaching through the woods. A creature passed through the campsite toward the river, then ran back and into the woods behind the camp, seen only as a fire-lit silhouette. After hunting from stands, they returned and found large five-toed footprints in sand that they felt were too large to be human.

After waiting, they heard a prolonged clamor of fighting coyotes uphill with a distinct human- or ape-like yowling mixed in lasting about 45 seconds. The witness remained in place until daylight and then hiked out.

The witness and relatives were sleeping in a tent at an abandoned family homesite. In darkness the witness heard bipedal footsteps approach, contact and scratch the rain cover and disturb stakes, then heard a second set of footsteps nearby and distant rock-clicking sounds. After triggering a vehicle alarm, a branch broke as something walked away. In the morning the witness found a footprint-like mark, lifted stakes, and bent trees.
