Moments later they saw a dark fur-covered figure moving upright very quickly through thick brush, visible only from the upper thigh up for a few seconds. About five minutes later they heard a loud thud like a limb falling.

Late at night the witness and a relative went outside to check a heavy thud behind the house. They saw a deer run past, then a very tall hair-covered human-like figure approach from the woods. After a shotgun shot was fired toward the treeline, the figure veered closer, stopped nearby, then moved along the treeline into the woods where it remained visible for several minutes. A strong odor was noticed and large footprints were found the next day.

After picking up a relative at the airport, the witness became lost while driving at night with her two children on unmarked rural roads. While traveling slowly near a church, she and the children noticed a large brown furry figure crouched by the roadside ditch with its back to the road. They did not stop and continued home. The witness first assumed it was a bear but later questioned that after learning brown bears are not found in the state.

With her husband home, the guest heard a loud owl overhead answered from across the driveway by a second owl-like call that cracked. She took burst phone photos toward the woodline in the dark and on brightening saw a boxy standing figure looking toward her. The next morning she found deadfall trees newly lined along the driveway and tested that stepping over the line triggered the garage motion light, concluding the line marked the light's boundary.

Around the second home the witness found toy trucks moved from a lidded sandbox to the steps two mornings, footprints behind the barn, broken trees, newly piled sticks by the pond and a small teepee structure. Later the trampoline was shifted about nine feet back and seven feet sideways, a makeshift clothesline gutter was torn off, a rock was heard flying through trees in daylight, and brief strong skunk-like and dead-meat odors occurred.
