After knocking three times on a deck rail, the witness heard three knocks returned from nearby woods and later saw branches moving despite no wind. About an hour later the witness heard footsteps and pacing beside the house for about 15 minutes and attempted to record the sound on a phone.
Two deer hunters experience a likely week-long encounter near Nashport
Two companions camped while hunting for five days near Dillon State Park. On successive nights they heard tree knocks from multiple directions, whistles, whoops, loud yells and screams that approached the camp, growling near the camper, and banging on vehicles in a nearby junkyard. By day they found numerous large human-like footprints in a shallow spillway and on a sandy bank, which they photographed with boots for scale. They reported no visual sighting but concluded the sounds and tracks were from a large, athletic creature.

On the opposite ridge he saw a very tall black figure staring at him and a smaller figure that quickly hid behind brush. After staring for about ten minutes he moved for a better view and the figure was gone, and he later hiked to the spot and found unusual tree structures but no footprints.

While climbing down and tracking the deer in near-dark, the witness heard loud screaming-growling noises, smelled a strong pungent odor, and saw a huge silhouette about 30 yards away on a hillside. The witness left the woods while still hearing the noises and returned the next morning to find the blood trail ended with no deer.

A trail camera set on secluded hunting property captured a single image containing a figure partly obscured by a small tree. The owner noticed the figure later while reviewing images and described it as clear and appearing younger, with family members also seeing only the photo. An investigator later viewed the image from the SD card, visited the location, and offered a juvenile interpretation while working to obtain the original.

The witness was hunting deer behind the house and watched a small bear-like creature through binoculars for many minutes. The creature turned and showed a solid black hairless human-like face before disappearing silently when the witness glanced away after hearing rocks falling behind. The witness did not feel threatened and saw no limbs, focusing on the head.

The witness reported finding an X-shaped arrangement of large branches near a deer stand in early October 2015 and leaving leaves, apples, and peanut butter there over several visits. The leaves and fruit repeatedly disappeared, and a jar of peanut butter later vanished and reappeared on the nearby stand with part of the contents missing. During a nighttime visit with two companions, a small curly clear-looking hair was found on the structure. No creature was reported seen during these incidents.

They reported rocks being thrown with increased aggression, leaving and then returning later the same night. On the return they reported hearing a roar or growl described as escalating to a scream or screech, then leaving and not returning.

The witness lives with his wife on raw wooded property. He set out a peccary archery target that was found the next morning pulled up and pulled apart with apparent teeth marks. About two weeks before reporting, the couple heard a loud short call followed by a softer answering call ending in repeated grunts, which caused deer to flee.

A family was camped in a trailer near a treeline with a deer carcass stored nearby. During the night the family was awakened by rocks hitting the trailer, knocking sounds, growls, screams and whoops. The witness later went outside with a flashlight and saw a single glowing red eye high in the treeline. In the morning stacked rocks were gone, footprints were found, and a large pine by the carcass had been pushed over.

Three people hiking in daylight near a pond had a large rock thrown toward them, with the rock striking a tree. They searched the apparent origin area and found a fresh large bass displayed on a boulder, aligned toward the path, with no other people around. An investigator later documented the rock size and photographed the pond and fish.
Strange game camera photo leads to finding possible footprints outside of New London
A game camera captured a close-up image of long reddish-brown hair directly in front of the lens with no body visible. The property owners then found a series of four large barefoot tracks with visible toes coming from the woods past the same camera. They photographed the tracks with a tape measure, and later investigators measured remaining impressions at about 14 inches long. No one reported seeing the creature directly.

A family of four was hiking and identifying animal tracks in a forested mountain area when the husband found a single large footprint off the trail. The print was about 13.5 to 14 inches long and about half an inch deep, with possible toe impressions, and crossed perpendicular to the trail. The husband could not leave a comparable impression in the same vicinity. The family photographed the print with a boot for scale, felt uneasy, and continued on without seeing or hearing anything that could have made it.

Looking out a lit window from a few feet away, he watched a large hairy creature squat on the porch and rummage through trash bags for an extended time without showing its face. The creature then leapt down and left across a road and ravine.

Two people on a backpacking trip camped for the night and heard a long two-toned howl after midnight, followed by distant whoops over about two hours. The next day while hiking they found large deep human-like footprints crossing the trail at two gaps, with about five-foot stride, plus piled limbs in tree forks and overturned mushrooms nearby. They photographed the prints and noted a bloody stick but did not keep it.

During the night and again after dawn they repeatedly heard a loud aggressive exhale-like sound nearby, along with footsteps and branches breaking as something moved through the forest, followed by scream-like sounds that turned into chatter. In daylight they found a matted vegetation bed, a fresh flattened trail, and footprints in mud where the sounds had come from. The entity itself was never seen.

On May 24, 2015 the witness was hiking for pleasure when she found two very large footprints near a tree by the trail. She photographed and measured the impressions, then found additional large prints and a possible knuckle impression on her way back to the parking area. She returned several days later to make plaster casts, but rain and leaf litter made the casts poor.

On a rainy afternoon a woman who was home alone heard two whoops from the tree line behind her house. She looked up and watched a tall, dark-haired figure step out of the trees, walk five long steps to the side while looking down, and step back into the forest. She called a relative to return home, and a later visit to the spot found trampled vegetation, stacked broken limbs, and a strong odor.
Fisherman finds possible footprints on the Carp River north of St. Ignace
The witness was steelhead fishing alone upriver in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the morning. The witness found two sets of barefoot tracks of different sizes crossing a four-foot-deep stretch of river. The tracks were described as flat, broad, without arches, and sinking deeper than the witness's own tracks. The witness believed they were recently made and not human, and took photos and video.
