Backpacker hears possible vocalizations and wood knocking in the Alpine Lakes wilderness near North Bend
The witness camped alone at a remote alpine lake and saw a black shiny shape on a ridge during a day hike that stayed motionless when called to. That evening while cooking the witness heard a loud screech, then after dark was awakened by extremely loud cracks followed by falling rocks, with a second closer event about 40 minutes later. The witness stayed awake afraid until daylight and left quickly in the morning.

The witness and two friends were on a three-day hiking and camping trip in the mountains near Asheville. On the third day they were spread out traversing a steep slope when the witness stopped to rest and heard movement in thick brush below. Something rushed from behind, knocked him into a tree, then stood over him as he lay on his stomach, vocalizing loudly when he tried to look up and swaying while breathing heavily. It glanced toward a second noise downhill, then left as the friends approached calling out, leaving the witness injured and shaken.
Elk hunters experience strange events while at camp
While camped for an elk hunt, the witness was asleep in a staked tent when he felt it being steadily dragged. He stayed still without turning on a light and heard no footsteps or breathing as the movement stopped. At daylight he found the tent shifted outward with stakes pulled, no tears or tooth marks, and an old elk jaw lying at the doorway.
Campers report harassment on the Mogollon Rim near Knoll Lake
The witness was reading in a parked van at a remote wooded campsite while a companion napped. After prolonged bark-tearing and movement sounds followed by silence, a long thick branch flew from the trees and struck the van's side mirror with enough force to shatter it. The witness saw its straight trajectory and concluded it had been thrown rather than fallen. Both occupants then watched and listened but detected nothing further at that time.

A group walking on a path by a closed campground at night heard something large crashing through trees alongside them. A very large rock then landed a few feet away with enough force to vibrate the ground, followed by a loud growl. The group left the area immediately.

Four people driving logging roads found large footprints in about a foot of snow beside the road. After photographing an initial line of about six prints, they found a longer line of more than thirty prints on a landing. They concluded the prints were not human because of the large size, five toes, and long stride that the witness could not recreate.
Two hikers see an upright ape running off into the brush in Apalachicola National Forest
Two companions hiking in Apalachicola National Forest stopped at a shallow brook to cool off. After leaving the water they heard rocks colliding and sticks breaking and went to investigate. They glimpsed an ape-like biped charging away through thick brush, breaking limbs and leaving a foul odor. Afterwards they noted disturbed rocks and a partial heel print that later dried out and was not photographed.
Family sees Sasquatch at window several times near Gilford
The witness reports seeing a tall hair-covered figure passing the living room picture window about once a year over several years while watching television late at night. The figure is described as walking upright past the window in one direction and sometimes returning minutes later. The witness also reports hearing grunts, screams, footsteps and breaking limbs, and finding large unidentifiable prints in snow and broken branches in the yard.

The witness was driving on a gravel mountain road in the early morning when he saw a small dark animal sitting in the road. A tall brown-haired female came from the woods, picked up the juvenile and carried it back into the trees. After the witness got out of his car a rock struck the car and a much larger dark individual appeared behind the car, vocalized loudly, then crossed the road into the woods. The witness drove a short distance ahead, stopped, heard movement in the woods and had more small rocks thrown toward him before leaving.
Odor near Shelby County (2008)
The witness was canoeing alone on the river in the afternoon and had to pull out to drag the canoe around a log jam. He smelled a terrible odor and was paced by something unseen that stopped when he stopped, then heard screaming, breaking limbs, and saw a large log thrown and trees violently shaking. He fled in the canoe to the center of the river.
Unidentified sound in Connecticut (2008)
On the first night in a long-empty cabin the witness heard hours of loud cracking and later found large bark strips lined up on the ground. The next afternoon he and his son smelled a strong odor and found a large scat pile by the cabin steps. The following evening all three heard a long powerful scream nearby and searched with a flashlight without finding the source.
Multiple incidents around river slough south of Belleville
Two companions were camping by a slough around 1 a.m. when loud whooping and moaning calls were heard from about 30 feet behind them and then repeated louder and closer. Their small dog cowered in the tent and stayed silent. They fled in their vehicle leaving gear behind, and the next day found the tent open, food missing, bedding disturbed, and a large unidentified footprint nearby.
Late Night Sighting by Motorist near I-10
The witness was riding as a passenger with a relative driving home when they first noticed a large crouched figure by the roadside. After turning around and losing sight of it, they saw a tall, dark reddish-brown shaggy upright figure cross the road ahead of them in two steps. The figure moved quickly, did not look at the cars, and disappeared into roadside bushes, after which the witnesses left the area.

The witness and his wife were driving at night when their headlights caught a hair-covered humanlike figure standing on the left side of the road about 25-30 feet away. It faced them briefly, then ran bipedally a few steps and scrambled on all fours up an embankment behind it. When they looked back after passing, it was gone.

Four adults spent the day trap shooting at a dead-end road near a washed-out bridge. During a lunch break they noticed a tall dark stump-like shape about 25-30 yards into the forest and watched it remain motionless for 30-45 minutes. When they later looked again the shape was gone, leaving no matching stump. They concluded the object may have been a sasquatch calmly observing them despite hours of shotgun noise.

The witness became separated from relatives while out in forest near a lake in spring. The witness stopped at a trail entrance and watched a tall dark manlike creature scrape bark with its palms and pound a tree trunk with a fist. The creature paused and turned to look at the witness. The frightened witness cried and left the area after viewing lasting a couple minutes.
Possible pre-dawn approach to property outside Winston-Salem
Early in the morning the witness took the dog out to the end of the driveway before work. The dog alerted toward the treeline, then the witness heard a loud howl and wood-on-wood sounds very close and glimpsed a figure by a tree. After going back inside and leaving again, the witness heard footsteps in the dark and saw a huge dark upright figure moving along the fence and driveway by a pond, later noticing a foul odor and disturbed leaves in the area.
Possible road-crossing sighting in daylight near Strawberry
The witness stopped along a one-lane road to let dogs out and glimpsed two dark figures crossing the road quickly at a curve, seeing only their upper halves. The figures disappeared around the turn and were not seen again despite visibility of the road beyond. About an hour later the witness returned and found a slide mark and a possible ball-and-toe impression on the muddy bank where the figures had crossed. The witness first took them for hooded people but later considered them possibly bigfoots due to their appearance, upright bipedal movement, and lack of a trail.
Dogman sighting near Peru, Indiana (2007)
The witness and a coworker were driving home in separate vehicles in the dark when both swerved to avoid a tall headless black shape walking unnaturally in the road. They returned to the spot and found a very large dog-like animal lying across both lanes that lifted its head, growled deeply, stood up on two legs to eye level, stared, then dropped to a crouch and left toward a fenced ditch. A small wet mouse then stood between the two men cleaning itself and showed no fear when nudged, after which both left for home.

The witness reports standing in a front doorway changing a bulb when a popping sound was heard and cats ran toward them. About a minute later the witness saw a very tall, light-colored, muscular creature walking calmly in the ditch across the highway behind the mailbox. The sighting lasted several seconds under a street light at close range and left no tracks.
