Hiker finds possible footprints in Timber Ridge Forest Preserve (w/photos)
The witness was hiking on a new gravel path through a forest preserve at lunchtime. In wet crushed gravel that preserved other footprints, the witness noticed bare footprints about 13 inches long with five toes that appeared deeper than shoe prints and traced them back to thick grass. The witness photographed the prints with a glove for scale and found the step distance too long to comfortably match.

Over a couple months of visits to a small rural cemetery, the witness and companions repeatedly heard wood knocks surrounding them, logs or objects being thrown, and a walnut thrown back toward them. They also heard growls, hissing, grunts, yells and screams on separate occasions, and once heard a large unseen thing charge to the cemetery edge then go silent. They never saw the source, reported no departing footsteps, and described a persistent feeling of being watched and warned from entering the woods.

The witness was camping on owned property along the river [name withheld] the dogs stayed agitated overnight. The next morning a line of prints was found in mud by the river that appeared to come out of the water and go back in downstream. The witness photographed the prints and made a plaster cast, reporting them at about 13 by 4 inches.

The witness was driving back roads after collecting mail when a line of large footprints was noticed on a dirt road. The witness brought a companion to view the trackway and both took photographs, returning the next day for more photos, measurements, and plaster casts. The trackway reportedly ran along the road for about three-quarters of a mile, entering and leaving adjacent fields, with large dimensions and a long stride.

Two witnesses walking a logging road heard loud approaching sounds and then saw a tall dark upright figure watching them from behind a tree. The figure leaned out curiously and later followed them to within close range before they ran back to a relative working a nearby field. After driving to a more open area across a shallow creek, the witness found two very large barefoot-like footprints that seemed too large and out of place to be human.

The witness returned to the site of a large footprint found the previous day to take photographs. He banged sticks together for about ten minutes to try to provoke a response. Immediately after one knock he heard an extremely loud high-pitched scream or roar that frightened him. He ran down a steep brushy hill back to the house without looking back.

The relative suggested the limb may have fallen from a tree, while the witness doubted a natural placement.

After holding gazes briefly, the figure turned and walked out of the yard past an empty house and up the street out of sight.

Early one morning while preparing to leave a campground, a couple noticed a large figure standing outside their trailer's bedroom window peering in. The privacy glass showed only a shadowy chest, head and part of an arm, which the companion photographed. When the witness opened a distant door and turned on a light, the figure was gone but quick footsteps were heard leaving down a gravel road. After sunrise they found large footprint-like impressions in the gravel near the trailer.
