In 2006 the guest staged an empty-looking campsite and hid inside his blanket-covered truck with a parabolic microphone. He heard footsteps approaching from about 10pm, watched two Bigfoots enter the camp with one dragging a stick and tapping lantern posts, then striking a tree hard. He heard splashing as the second crossed the creek, and the encounter culminated with something jumping on the back of his truck.

The witness and a child sat in a parked pickup with windows down near a night listening location. After waiting, they heard a prolonged clamor of fighting coyotes uphill with a distinct human- or ape-like yowling mixed in lasting about 45 seconds. A team of four was conducting a nighttime sound survey from a clear-cut overlooking a river valley while one member did a live radio interview from a parked vehicle near the treeline. The interviewer heard repeated charging sounds, footfalls and a grunt-growl from dense brush a few feet away while two teammates uphill watched with a night-vision device. The uphill observers reported a huge 8-foot-plus figure about 25 feet away leaning side to side to look through the trees and moving its arms. The episode lasted about 30 minutes, followed later by a distant scream, and a next-day search found disturbed soil but no footprints.

Investigators found fresh broken trees, dozens of footprints and two nests where a trail crossed a road and staked out the spot. No creature was seen, but something large moving on two feet approached the stakeout before fleeing downhill through brush when a car passed. On the night of October 28, 2000 the witness was hosting an adult-only backyard barbecue party with about a dozen guests. Around 10 p.m. the group heard loud unidentified sounds from the woods near the back of the property and heard heavy footsteps breaking branches that sounded bipedal. Two men entered the woods with a flashlight but the source stayed distant and was never seen, and no tracks were found in deep oak leaves.

On the night of August 30 the witness was camping when his dog wandered from the campsite making strange noises and a figure taller than the witness with a visible silhouette and eyes kept moving toward him, reportedly walking upright. The frightened witness fled to a nearby convenience store and called 911 at 10:54 pm. No formal police report was filed because the witness would not return to the campsite with an officer.

The witness reports hearing loud mournful screams and wails almost nightly for three months at a home south of South Lake Tahoe, often described as paired calls that converge then stop. Recordings were made mostly from a bedroom window between late evening and morning. The witness with a companion also backpacked, made all-night forest forays, and camped with bait to locate the source, finding tracks and bed-like structures with torn branches, while noting dogs refused some areas and little wildlife was seen.

At night the family showed them figures with a spotlight, with up to three seen, and the visitors played a scream recording that was followed by distant chatter.

The witness recalls numerous puzzling occurrences from 30-40 years ago on a family farm of about 100 acres with orchards and woods. These included trees reportedly moved to block trails, an elaborate woven arch structure, large human-like footprints with long strides, rocks and a branch thrown near the witness, loud clicking exchanges, and nighttime disturbances around the barn and house. No creature was reportedly seen clearly, and the interpretation as possible Sasquatch activity developed over later years.

Two companions on their way to school in the morning saw two pale human-like figures standing at the edge of woods on a hill. The figures smelled like skunks and then wandered back into the woods. The witnesses estimated the figures' height against a tree limb and later reported finding nest-like structures nearby.

Helicopters pushed a female and her young into a clearing where the deputy shot the female in the chest and then shot the young in the head. A former law enforcement officer told two missionaries that in 1971 he took part in an agency-directed helicopter operation to kill Sasquatch living in a canyon in the Dakotas. Two smaller helicopters drove the animals while his crew photographed a female and a youngster from the air, recorded audio, then shot the youngster in the head and shot the female point-blank in the chest from a rope ladder. The female screamed and fled up the canyon with an unknown fate, while the youngster's body was bagged, netted under a helicopter and flown out. The officer said he kept the photos and cassette hidden and had told no one else.
