The witness was at home bringing in trash cans in the evening when two whoop sounds were heard from the property about three minutes apart. The witness started recording after the second sound but heard no further whoops or movement while listening for several more minutes.

The witness reports ongoing nighttime disturbances at a rural home shared with a spouse. Strange noises begin at dusk and continue through the night, with knocking, dragging and loud thumps on the house and high windows recurring every couple of months. An investigator later noted additional whoops, chatter and wood-knocks from the timber line and cattle becoming agitated late at night. The witnesses state they have never seen the source and no tracks have been found.

The witness was driving along a road overlooking a lake in daylight when she noticed a tall black figure moving easily up a steep snow-covered hillside. The figure crossed a driveway between wooded areas toward distant power lines, slouching and swinging its arms, with no hat, clothing, or snowshoes and a head that appeared to sit directly on its shoulders. The observation lasted a few minutes as the car moved, with the dark figure standing out against snow and sunlight. The witness first thought it was a man but concluded a man could not have walked that slope in deep snow so easily.

In the early evening the witness went outside to call the dog in and saw six or seven deer running as if chased. Behind the deer in tall grass about 100 yards from the house, a large hairy animal was running on two legs and towering above the 4-foot grass while chasing the deer. The witness, familiar with local wildlife including bears, concluded it was not a bear.

In 2008 the witness and a companion were sitting at a secluded spot deep in the woods on a relative's large forested property. The woods became unusually silent, then heavy bipedal-sounding footsteps approached up a steep brushy slope. Both fled to the house without seeing what made the sounds.

The witness walked alone at night to a pond in a wildlife management area to fish. After fishing for about an hour in bright moonlight, the witness heard a loud, deep guttural sound repeated four times from the woodline where they had entered. The witness noticed a large gray creature moving quickly away from under the bridge through stones and brush, leaning forward and appearing to have no visible head. Two companions were jogging home in the dark along a rural road in the early morning hours. They heard a loud, high-pitched scream that held then dropped in pitch and ended in a cackle, first from a distance on the left. About an hour and several miles later they heard a similar but closer scream on the right, felt they were being followed, and hurried the rest of the way home.

As a child, the witness watched from a second-floor farmhouse window as a tall, hairy biped crossed the front yard uphill, repeatedly glancing back and briefly meeting his gaze before disappearing around the house. Frightened, he ran to his parents, and a relative and a companion went outside and found oversized footprints that they followed by car across a plowed field until the tracks led uphill toward the forest and disappeared.

The witness, working as a night security guard at a facility, stepped onto a rear deck for a patrol around 3 a.m. and heard an extremely loud female-sounding scream from the wooded hillside about 100 feet away. After sunrise he inspected the nearby trail and found large footprints that he measured. He later found a similar scream online and said it matched what he heard.
