Possible trackway found and photographed near Brandon
The witness was driving back roads after collecting mail when a line of large footprints was noticed on a dirt road. The witness brought a companion to view the trackway and both took photographs, returning the next day for more photos, measurements, and plaster casts. The trackway reportedly ran along the road for about three-quarters of a mile, entering and leaving adjacent fields, with large dimensions and a long stride.
Possible sighting by a First Nations member while hunting outside The Pas Area
The witness was hunting and shot a duck that fell near a pond. While searching for the duck, a large furred animal burst from cover and ran on its hind legs. The witness fled and the dog chased the animal, with the dog returning later miles away and only the duck's wings found.
Grouse twice left on trail for hiker
On June 5th 2004 the witness was leading a group at a large archaeological site when the witness struck a large branch against a dry pine to try calling a response. No response was heard at the time. About four hundred yards along the exit trail the group found a dead grouse placed in the middle of the trail with wings tucked, still slightly warm, interpreted as a fresh placement similar to an earlier find.
Possible daylight sighting by bush pilot flying low over remote forest area outside Bissett
The witness was flying as a front-seat passenger in a small bush plane over an isolated highway. He noticed a dark, upright figure emerge from the south, walk straight across the highway and ditch, and disappear into the bush, watching it for about 30 seconds. He did not point it out to the pilot until afterward and saw no parked or moving vehicles nearby.
Possible sasquatch seen by farmer near Hwy 21 outside Kenton, Manitoba
The witness was hauling bales by tractor toward a relative's farmyard in the late afternoon when a tall dark figure was seen walking and crossing the road ahead. The figure was initially mistaken for a relative, but the actual relative was then seen at the house. The witness and the relative searched the area shortly afterward and found no one, with the nearest heavy cover described as a quarter-mile away.
Huge human-like footprints discovered
The witness and a companion hiked into a remote area beside Cedar Lake to collect ancient amber. While wading along the flooded shoreline the day after hiking in, they found fresh, huge human-like footprints in a sandy area that led west into the swamp. The prints were described as 14-15 inches long, narrow for their length, with a running stride and deep depressions. They recorded the prints and surrounding swamp with a video camera.
Backcountry campers in the Nopiming Provincial Park are approached and hear vocalizations
While camping on an island during a multi-day canoe trip, the witness and a companion heard a distant crying-like sound that grew louder and became high-pitched growling as something paced on the opposite shore after dark. They tracked the sounds with flashlights but never saw the source, though they thought trees were swaying. After a rifle shot was fired over the sounds, the vocalizations stopped and the source was heard running away through the forest.
