She later learned a family member had been home the whole time and days later saw a large oddly shaped footprint near the roadside.

The witness and her daughter were driving on a remote dirt road about six miles off the main road when they noticed very large barefoot-like footprints in snow. The prints were larger than a size 12 shoe, had a longer second toe, and led up the mountain across a fence, which they did not follow. The witness noticed several large human-like footprints beside where she sat, including one much larger than a companion's boot. The prints led toward the creek and the stride between them was too long for her to match. No camera was available to document the tracks.
