ATV'ers find footprints near Pt.Pleasant

While riding ATVs on private property, the witness group stopped to eat near a creek. The witness noticed several large human-like footprints beside where she sat, including one much larger than a companion's boot. The prints led toward the creek and the stride between them was too long for her to match. No camera was available to document the tracks.

About 3 or 4 large footprints with toes and no claw marks leading down to creek
Measurements: atleast 16 to 18 in long and 6 to 8 in at the widest point
The property owner contacted the state natural resources agency, whose staff visited the site with several trucks and reportedly identified the prints as bear tracks.

An investigator later spoke by phone with the witness and spouse, who said the tracks looked very human with a very long stride.
