Camper experiences possible activity, rock thrown in Kaniksu National Forest
On September 3, 2017, the witness and two companions were picnicking and hiking in forest land near Colville National Forest. During a daytime walk in a dry creek bed, the witness and a companion found two large human-like footprints. That evening at dusk from near their parked vehicle, they made howl calls and tree knocks and heard two howl responses from different directions.

The witness was archery hunting with his wife and son and had gathered back at their truck around 7 p.m. They heard loud whoop-like vocalizations from the treeline, and after the son imitated a whoop they heard louder responses from multiple directions continuing for several minutes. The witness stated the sounds were unlike any known animal, that the exchange was recorded on phones, and that no other people were in the area.
Early Morning Howls Awaken Campers Near Liliwaup
Two people camping overnight in hammocks were awakened around 3 a.m. by loud, long howls that they felt physically and that repeated several times from up the creek. They had never heard anything similar despite extensive wilderness experience and could not match it to known North American mammal sounds. They later found an online Sasquatch vocalization that sounded identical, but stated they did not know the source.

A group of four was camped overnight in a remote riverside campground. About 3 a.m. the witness, sleeping in a vehicle, woke to rustling and watched a large dark figure hunched over the picnic table going through bags and trash from about 15 feet away. Companions in tents heard rustling and grunting. In the morning there was no scattered trash, but a charcoal bag showed marks and some contents missing.

Three relatives driving on a rural Florida road at midday spotted a large dull-brown human-like figure standing waist-deep in a swampy marsh area with its arms away from its body and head down. After driving on briefly, they turned around to look again but the figure was gone. They agreed they had all seen the same strange thing and could not explain it as a cow or tree.

About 60 yards away, a very tall dark figure stood facing the witness then quickly turned and walked away bipedally downstream out of view, apparently carrying a large staff-like piece of wood. The witness reported freezing with fear, being unarmed, and leaving the area immediately.

Six people were camping and talking around a campfire after dinner when a child imitated a howl. About 5 to 10 seconds later the group heard a single loud wood knock from a forested ridge above the lake. No other campers were nearby, and no other sounds, odors, or tracks were reported.

While delivering newspapers in darkness, the witness heard two distinct loud vocalizations about a minute apart coming from different directions. The witness reported intense fear, unusual silence, bunched cattle, and dogs hiding. The witness and his wife were sleeping in a tent at a remote campground when nocturnal animal calls erupted and then suddenly stopped. They then heard loud heavy bipedal footsteps with cracking wood approaching their camp. The witness searched the treeline with a flashlight and vehicle high beams but saw nothing, then the entity ran away crashing through limbs and exhaling loudly. At daylight they found broken branches and bare-foot slide marks, then broke camp and left.

After hearing something large move away through the woods, the witness noticed a single large footprint on the hard trail surface and photographed it. A couple staying overnight on the screened porch of a wooded cabin report two nights of disturbance in June 2017. The first night included talk-like and giggling sounds followed by an hour of limbs breaking all around them. The second night something vocalized loudly near the creek, rushed toward the cabin causing felt impacts, then ran off breaking wood. The next morning they found widespread broken limbs and a snapped tree but no footprints, and did not return.

The witnesses state they have never seen the source and no tracks have been found.
