Further down the trail the witness tried reproducing the sound with tree knocks, rocks, and hand claps, finding cupped hand claps matched most closely.

In spring 2016 after returning home from an evening walk near his home, the witness looked back across an open field toward the woods and saw the back of a tall, broad, hair-covered upright creature standing still about 150 yards away. After a few seconds it moved quickly into the woods. He later estimated it was over seven feet tall with no visible neck and a peaked, caramel-colored head and back.

The witness was fishing from a kayak on a pond at dusk when a large splash occurred about 15 feet away toward the shore. No movement was heard and no creature was seen. The witness inferred a rock had been thrown because the pond lacked large enough fish and nothing floated to the surface, and believed a person could not easily have reached that dense shoreline after heavy rain.

The witness reported finding large human-like footprints in snow on an infrequently used vehicle trail at the edge of woods, with another similar print later seen beside a dirt road, and noted bent trees in the area over the course of a year. He estimated the prints were about one and a half times the size of his own foot and interpreted them as those of a juvenile Bigfoot. An investigator later visited the site with him, observed odd tree manipulations, reviewed his photos, and described him as credible.

After knocking three times on a deck rail, the witness heard three knocks returned from nearby woods and later saw branches moving despite no wind. Two companions camped while hunting for five days near Dillon State Park. On successive nights they heard tree knocks from multiple directions, whistles, whoops, loud yells and screams that approached the camp, growling near the camper, and banging on vehicles in a nearby junkyard. By day they found numerous large human-like footprints in a shallow spillway and on a sandy bank, which they photographed with boots for scale. They reported no visual sighting but concluded the sounds and tracks were from a large, athletic creature.

A trail camera set on secluded hunting property captured a single image containing a figure partly obscured by a small tree. The owner noticed the figure later while reviewing images and described it as clear and appearing younger, with family members also seeing only the photo. An investigator later viewed the image from the SD card, visited the location, and offered a juvenile interpretation while working to obtain the original.

The witness was house-sitting at a friend's rural property and walking from the separate garage to the house around dusk when they heard two loud wood knocks from the woods behind the house. About a minute later they heard a close, distinctive whoop from the same area in the woods. They stayed outside several more minutes but heard nothing further.
Possible encounter while hunting near Northfield Falls
On two November 2015 mornings the witness sat in a remote hunting spot before sunrise and heard close-range tree breaks and knocks followed by a scream/whoop vocalization shortly after turning off a light. Conditions were clear, cold and very quiet on both occasions. The witness, an experienced outdoors person, said nothing like it had happened before or since.
