Two brothers camped overnight beside a lake in the park. During the night and again after dawn they repeatedly heard a loud aggressive exhale-like sound nearby, along with footsteps and branches breaking as something moved through the forest, followed by scream-like sounds that turned into chatter. In daylight they found a matted vegetation bed, a fresh flattened trail, and footprints in mud where the sounds had come from. The entity itself was never seen.

The witness estimated the prints at 15.5 inches long with 5- to 7-foot increments and judged no known animal could have made them. The witness's spouse spotted the print after the witness had walked over it without noticing. The witness and two young relatives drove up a mountain logging road to look for sasquatch sign. After stopping to make rock knocks, they heard a single knock returned from the woods below. They then found multiple stick-and-bent-tree structures described as possible nests, and the witness found and cast a large ground imprint thought to be a footprint.

While scouting and then deer hunting near a river over several weeks, the witness reports a persistent foul odor, sounds of being followed, and repeated loud wood knocks. The witness found single very large deeply impressed tracks on two occasions, plus stick formations, flattened vegetation, long strides in leaves, and animal remains including hide on a high limb and a bloody disturbed area. A wildlife biologist viewed the first track but considered it contaminated, and later investigators visiting the site found no tracks or signs.

Inside and around it he reported reddish hair, many large fibrous scat piles, snapped branches, and a single large bare footprint. On a cool afternoon in February 2007, the witness and a companion hiked in the woods to look for clues about strange activity. They reported finding large human-like footprints, possible bedding areas, territorial tree markings, and a freshly fallen oak with bark that looked chewed and wet. While leaving the woods they reported being followed by something unseen that produced howls and other vocals, stick-beating sounds, continuing footsteps, and moving vegetation.

Three companions were walking a little-used logging trail north of North Bay near dusk when they found two barefoot-like half prints at the edge of a large puddle. The prints were described as human-like with five toes but about twice the width of the witness's own foot, with no other tracks around. Earlier on the same walk they had seen a small healthy tree snapped off high above the ground, and afterward they noticed bent trees that resembled a sleeping spot, though they discounted both.

While hunting deer alone in the morning, the witness heard repeated sounds like logs or poles being thrown, then found a tree with bark removed, a large packed bed, a human-like track, and unfamiliar scat. After glimpsing brown fur duck behind a log, the witness heard an extremely loud low roar-like yell from behind with crashing, then heard crashing and throwing sounds staying out of sight while leaving for about 200 yards. No full animal was clearly seen.

No creature was seen, but something large moving on two feet approached the stakeout before fleeing downhill through brush when a car passed. They later found uprooted small trees, additional tracks in camp, hair on fencing, and a woody debris structure, and heard screaming and a howl that prompted a relative to leave camp.
