Young family on afternoon outing find footprints east of Pendleton, Oregon
The witness and her husband drove a remote track until a stream blocked their car and then explored on foot along the bank. The witness reported a strong feeling of being watched from a wooded hillside and then found a very large human-like footprint in ground too firm to show their own tracks. Her husband confirmed the print, she found two more, and they left quickly without taking photos.

While elk hunting, the witness and companions walked a logging road to meet another party member and found very large tracks in hardened snow that wandered on and off the road. The tracks came in two sizes, crushed the snow to the gravel, and had not been present that morning. The third party member had also noticed the tracks independently, and the group did not follow them and returned to camp.

The witness was archery hunting from a ground blind near a hog wallow when he heard close grunting and breathing that he could not see. After the sounds stopped he inspected the area and found very large scat and large deep tracks leading to and away from the scat. He first assumed hogs and then a very large bear made the sign, but later judged the scat too large for a Florida black bear.
