The driver was traveling home late at night with a companion when a very large dark bipedal figure ran across the road ahead of the vehicle. The figure crossed in only a few strides at high speed and disappeared into the treeline where bushes shook but no trail was visible. The companion did not see it, and the driver slowed but did not turn back to investigate.

The witness also noticed a musky odor and reported no further activity that morning.

It crossed in only a few running steps and went into the ditch and timber. The witness described its arms and legs as human-like and its fur as dark possibly with auburn tips, and judged it too large and fast to be a human.

The witness was sitting in a parked car in a driveway talking on the phone in the late afternoon. The witness noticed about 30 deer running quickly across a yard beyond a creek. Seconds later a very tall, solid black upright figure appeared following the deer, walking steadily and pausing briefly behind trees. The witness watched it from about 100 yards away and estimated it was 8 to 10 feet tall by comparison to the deer.

Late at night the witness was driving north on a highway through farmland. A very large, black-haired biped ran across the road from left to right in about two seconds, covering the lanes in two leaps. The figure appeared hunched forward with long arms swinging low, briefly turned its head toward the driver, then disappeared into an open field.

The witness was sitting in a deer stand above a creek in heavily wooded bottomland waiting for deer. After smelling a musky odor and hearing leaves rustling behind the stand, the witness turned and saw a large dark-brown hairy biped across the creek about 60 yards away walking parallel to the water. The creature briefly turned its head toward the witness, continued swiftly with its arms swinging, and stayed in view for 10 to 15 seconds before moving away through trees.

The driver was driving south at night with three child passengers after a football game when a large dark figure was noticed in tall grass in a roadside ditch. The driver reports it was an ape-like, black-haired being crouched in the ditch that stared at the vehicle and stepped back on two legs as they passed. After passing, the driver turned around for another look but the figure was gone, which the child passengers also observed.

The figure crossed from left to right at a brisk walk with swinging arms and disappeared into vegetation at the roadside without looking at the driver. The witness later returned in daylight with a companion and noted worn crossing areas on both sides of the road.

Both adults observed the movement, though only the husband saw its fingered hands picking at the ground.

The witness and his wife were driving west on I-40 in a motorhome in the morning when they saw a tall dark figure walking north about 100-150 yards from the highway west of Houck, Arizona. They watched it for 15-20 seconds against a rock outcropping and described it as 7-8 feet tall, thickly built, and covered in short dark fur. The figure did not look toward the highway and kept walking as they passed without stopping.
