A witness walking alone to a river bridge in the evening stopped after spotting a hair-covered figure squatting at the river edge about 30 feet away. The figure kept its back turned for several minutes while breaking open and eating mussels or clams, striking some on rocks. The witness left to get a phone for a photo, but it was dark by the time of return and the figure was gone.

The witness claims a family group has visited a rural wooded property regularly for nearly two years, typically evenings to early mornings several times a week. Small rocks began striking the vehicle, and he saw a tall dark hair-covered figure about 70-90 feet away rise from a low position to standing. He watched it briefly as it stood bipedally and then stepped backward into dense woods, after which he left quickly feeling fear and nausea.

He then saw a reddish-brown female-appearing figure squatting across the creek near a beaver dam, apparently washing something in the water. After watching briefly, he stood and shouted, at which point the figure stood, made a short vocal sound, and left quickly. He returned to camp frightened and stayed there.

Her headlights revealed a brown-haired bipedal creature standing off the road about ten feet away. The creature watched her pass, making eye contact and showing pointed teeth, then turned its head to follow until she left the area. She felt intense fear only after passing.

From a sixth-floor hotel balcony before dawn, the witness watched a tall hair-covered biped for five to six minutes at a distance. The being stared, rocked side to side, and repeatedly leaned to pull bark from a large pine tree. Afterward the witness fetched security and later returned in daylight to find fresh bark, deep ground indentations, and possible scat.

In June 2008 around 9:30 p.m., the witness was walking with a child along a road toward a farm when a strange high-pitched howl and musty odor were noticed. A tall, hairy human-like figure emerged from a cornfield and followed at a distance as they hurried toward a waiting vehicle. When vehicle headlights were turned on, the figure paused, vocalized again, and retreated quickly into the corn. The waiting adult also heard the vocalization.

After backing up, the witness observed a tall, brown-furred bipedal figure walking away through overgrowth, pushing branches aside with its arm. The witness then stopped and listened for several minutes as slow crunching sounds receded toward a creek area.

Shortly before midnight during a multi-camp expedition, the witness borrowed a handheld thermal imager to look for the cause of a branch break near camp. Through the imager he watched a large unclothed human-like figure partly behind a tree about 30-50 yards away for over two minutes as it moved its head, dropped to the ground, crawled and gestured, then stood motionless with its back to him. He left to get recording equipment, but the figure was gone when another researcher checked moments later.

A large black figure stood up about 15 feet away on a steep downhill slope, showed agitated movements and cheek puffing, muttered and then screamed before leaving over a stump downhill. About an hour later the witness returned with two companions and all three heard pounding on trees and mumbled vocalizations before leaving.

In late morning in November 2006 the witness was walking a dog with a companion on a farm with cornfield and pine grove. The witness looked up and saw an upright honey-brown figure standing sideways with its head down, banging large rocks together. The companion did not see it, and when the witness looked back the figure was gone. The witness became frightened and asked to turn back.

The witness was night fishing with two companions by a fire on a riverbank. After hearing an unusual noise from across the river, the witness saw a very large, hairy figure moving in the dark. When a flashlight was shone on it, the figure quickly disappeared into the woods and was not seen again that night.

The witness and her mother heard a whistle around 2 a.m. and went outside to check. From near their elevated pool deck, they shone a flashlight on an unknown figure with red eyes positioned just above deck level. A group of seven hikers were hiking on a mountain trail in the afternoon. They heard cackling, yelping, growling and moaning sounds and found the trail blocked by a large uprooted stump with placed boulders and smashed trees. Two upright figures, one black and one light brown and hairy, were seen moving parallel to the group and leaping down a cliff, while the group felt stalked and watched as they hurried out to the road.
