The witness was riding a mountain bike alone on a trail northwest of Chelan in the morning. After rounding a bend, the witness saw a tall, dark-brown, long-haired bipedal animal running away through the forest for about 10-15 seconds. The witness stopped and then searched where it crossed, but found no clear tracks on the trail and no hair or broken vegetation.

The witness stopped and saw a tall dark figure look at him while walking behind a large slash pile about 75 yards away near the tree line. The figure did not reappear from the other side, and when the witness drove forward it was gone, apparently having gone into the woods. The witness did not get out to look for tracks.
