The witness reported repeated unexplained sounds and smells over several years while living on a large wooded and pasture property. He described loud yells or screams at dusk, growls and bird-like chirps after midnight, occasional heavy stomping, and recurring foul odors. He also found a knotted strap with ribbon on a stump and noted grass mounds and stacked limbs in the woods. He never saw an animal directly and only later considered a Bigfoot explanation after discussion with a relative.

The creature crashed away through brush when lights flashed, and the witness abandoned his equipment and never returned.

The witness and a relative were driving to a store after hunting when they saw a large hairy biped partly behind a scrub oak beside a curved road. The witness slowed and watched it for about 10-15 seconds from about 20-25 feet away before passing and turning around, by which time it was gone. After returning to the spot they noticed a strong foul odor and large ground impressions with flattened plants.

Two companions hiking in Apalachicola National Forest stopped at a shallow brook to cool off. After leaving the water they heard rocks colliding and sticks breaking and went to investigate. They glimpsed an ape-like biped charging away through thick brush, breaking limbs and leaving a foul odor. Afterwards they noted disturbed rocks and a partial heel print that later dried out and was not photographed.
Nighttime sighting by teen at Lake Asbury off HWY 739 outside Middleburg
The witness was at a wooded church camp at night when a tall black-haired biped trotted across about 50 feet away for about seven seconds. The witness noted a dome-like head, very large shoulders, and long arms hanging straight down while the shoulders twisted with movement. About a minute later a strong foul odor was noticed, followed minutes later by a series of loud hoots. The next morning the witness found large human-like barefoot tracks in sand.

The witness was patrolling near wooded wetlands late in the morning and noticed unusual limb arches, teepee-like and X formations near the road. While investigating on foot he felt watched and heard brush movement that seemed to shadow him without fleeing, but he never obtained a clear visual. He also reported a wet-dog-like odor in the swampy, wooded area.

The witness and a companion were scouting in a state forest when they noticed a strong foul odor. They saw an upright figure down a trail, watched it kneel in palmettos staring at them for many minutes, then saw it stand and cross the trail followed by a smaller similar figure into dense brush. They later found two footprints larger than the witness's foot.

The witness then saw a wide mass of long shiny fur rise near the bank and run away through dense woods, snapping small trees. The odor lingered so strongly the witness held breath and paddled away for fresh air.

While on night patrol, the witness responded to a companion's report of something standing by trees behind a building and shone a spotlight into the woods. A very large upright hairy creature holding a branch was seen, which then dropped the branch, looked back with red eyeshine, screamed, and ran away with a strong odor left behind. The witnesses later found a large pine branch torn from about nine feet up.

The witness was archery hunting from a ground blind near a hog wallow when he heard close grunting and breathing that he could not see. After the sounds stopped he inspected the area and found very large scat and large deep tracks leading to and away from the scat. He first assumed hogs and then a very large bear made the sign, but later judged the scat too large for a Florida black bear.

They noticed a strong foul odor and an unusual silence, became frightened, and ran back to the house. The next morning they returned and found an area of flattened brush and a very large footprint in damp soil nearby, which they photographed in black-and-white before having to leave.

A local friend who swam in the turnaround where alligators would not go searched underwater and found an opening. He swam about 100 feet into a cavern, surfaced under the area used for bikes and horses, and encountered an overpowering stench that burned his eyes and made breathing hard. Late at night the witness paddled a small boat up a creek with two dogs and heard something following on the bank, then a loud blowing noise. The dogs refused to go ashore and later barked intensely. The witness shone a light and saw a large ape-like figure running away over a hill, then noticed a group of tracks while leaving. A skunk-like brassy odor was noted before the sighting.
Year long sightings by family
The witness describes repeated nighttime visits to a rural property over about a year by a family of large hairy creatures that ate fruit, looked in trailer windows, and once bit a penned hog. The witness reports seeing three individuals of varying heights, hearing frequent chattering, noticing odor, tracks and hair, and attempting to hunt them without driving them away. After about a year the visits stopped, believed to have ended when habitat regrew.
Kayaker experiences frightening incidents while traveling down Yellow River
While kayaking a long stretch of river in northwest Florida near dusk, the witness heard moaning to yelling sounds and smelled a strong musky odor. Rocks were thrown from the treeline toward the water and near the kayak, while sticks and trees were heard breaking. The witness also heard coyotes and loud unidentified sounds suggesting animals fighting, felt followed for much of the trip, and never saw the source.
Footsteps in Florida
The witness returned with a friend in law enforcement to camp at the same area. Friday night they heard close footsteps and saw hogs, Saturday they measured the sighting location and saw broken vegetation, and Saturday evening the friend silently alerted and later said a creature watched them from about 15 feet. On leaving they found fresh teepee-like grass structures with the same foul smell, and afterward both were questioned by supervisors who called it a bear.
Structure or nest in Florida
The next morning the two men walked back toward the boat through tall grass. They found three pyramid-like grass structures with dug-out hollows that had not been there the day before. They both recognized the same foul smell the guest associated with the prior encounter.
