The witness heard loud crashing and branch-breaking as a large unseen animal ran down the opposite slope, chased a deer, and killed it after the deer cried out three times. The witness could not cross the creek to investigate and later left, having earlier photographed a 20-foot tree found jammed upside-down in the ground.

While working as night watchmen at a logging site, the female witness walked back from checking equipment at dusk and heard a snorkeling sound by the creek. She saw a large fur-covered creature on its knees drinking, which then stood up very tall and stepped over a stump. She ran screaming toward the trailer while the creature also screamed, and her companion heard it screaming and breaking trees as it moved away.

Two companions camping near Index walked down an overgrown disused road to photograph the river. Along the way they noticed small trees broken off high above the ground, then found a single very large right footprint in a soft spot in the road. The print was much larger than the companion's size 10.5 to 11 foot, no other prints showed in the firm soil, and they photographed it for scale.

While hunting deer alone in the morning, the witness heard repeated sounds like logs or poles being thrown, then found a tree with bark removed, a large packed bed, a human-like track, and unfamiliar scat. After glimpsing brown fur duck behind a log, the witness heard an extremely loud low roar-like yell from behind with crashing, then heard crashing and throwing sounds staying out of sight while leaving for about 200 yards. No full animal was clearly seen.

They reported finding twisted trees, saplings torn down and woven over a creek, and numerous large bare footprints in snow. The witness drove to the end of a forest road and walked to the river to fish alone in the morning. After casting, he heard cracking across the river and saw bushes moving and a large brown figure without clear details. Two trees snapped and fell uphill as the figure moved upslope into dense forest, and the frightened witness left the area quickly.

One afternoon in May 1999 the witness found a young tree freshly snapped off high up and laid across the trail to block it, with no sign of sawing, wind, or vehicle contact. The witness showed the scene to a coworker the next day and cleared the trail, and later wondered whether the damage could be related to Bigfoot. No creature was seen and no footprints or hair were checked.

When it seemed to notice her it stepped behind the tree, and when she glanced away to call her husband it was gone. He found a large tree knocked through the fence with strange hair on the wire, moved the tree and repaired the fence, then found very large fresh footprints in mud near a creek. He heard a grunt near the repair site and later a high-pitched scream from the same direction, found items tossed from his truck bed, then left and did not return.

During a nighttime military training bivouac near Cat Lake, the witness heard huffing and barking sounds approaching down a moonlit hillside with shaking and falling trees. A large upright man-like form with broad shoulders stepped into the clearing, huffed loudly, then ran upright across the clearing with swinging arms and heavy steps felt in the ground. The platoon woke, packed rapidly, and moved away, and a daylight check found knocked-over trees and disturbed soil but no prints.

Alone at a primitive mining camp on a warm spring day, the witness heard huge rocks splashing into the river with ground concussion, then wood breaking behind the trailer. Dogs stared down a trail as a large dark shadow crossed it in one step with heavy thumping footsteps.
