Large footprints, area of matted grass and sounds of bipedal footsteps noted along shores of Aurora Lake
The witness and a companion hiked through a creek bed to a long-visited spot in the woods. They found a large area where tall weeds and trees had been matted down into a bed-like clearing with outer vegetation bent outward. While examining it they heard heavy bipedal footsteps and breaking twigs approaching through dense foliage but could not see the source. They retreated to the road while the unseen source followed at a distance, staying about 100 feet away.
Long term possible Sasquatch interactions on a farm near New Era beginning in the mid 1970's
The witness recalls numerous puzzling occurrences from 30-40 years ago on a family farm of about 100 acres with orchards and woods. These included trees reportedly moved to block trails, an elaborate woven arch structure, large human-like footprints with long strides, rocks and a branch thrown near the witness, loud clicking exchanges, and nighttime disturbances around the barn and house. No creature was reportedly seen clearly, and the interpretation as possible Sasquatch activity developed over later years.
Possible tracks found in snow near Albia, Iowa
On a January 1976 afternoon the witness walked alone to a country club hill to sled. At the top he found bare footprints in snow with clear toe and heel outlines, sunk deep and spaced about three of his strides apart, running north to south into trees. He felt uneasy, sledded once, felt scared and as if watched while leaving, and headed home.

In 1976 while stationed at a military installation, the witness was sent to search along the river for a runaway dependent. In fresh snow in heavy cover the party found very large footprints, which the witness and another MP followed a short distance. In the early spring of 1976 the witness was hiking uphill from a cabin when they found very large flat-footed tracks in soft dirt in a Ponderosa Pine forest. The tracks were fairly deep and appeared to come up the hillside from the cabin area. The witness did not see the track-maker and later read library publications about prior regional sightings.

While heading back to their truck at dusk during an elk hunt, the witness and a companion felt watched and heard a loud scream lasting several minutes from behind trees, along with banging and branch breaking. They hid behind boulders with rifles but nothing emerged. They then left for the truck about a half mile away.

The witness and three companions were coon hunting at night with three hounds along a logging road beside a swamp. The dogs yelped in fear and ran past the group back toward the truck. The group heard a deep growl and loud limb breaking and wood knocking moving toward them from the swamp, then left the woods and found the dogs shaking in their boxes on the truck.
Family sees prints near Crescent City
The witness was traveling with family members when their vehicle pulled over and everyone got out. The group noticed many large footprints in sand along a small river leading uphill toward the forest. They then heard a noise from the ridge across the river and briefly saw a large creature moving bipedally over the ridge out of sight, after which they got back in the vehicle and left.

The witness and a companion were backpacking in a remote wilderness and stopped at a trail seep to collect water. In the mud they found a single very large footprint that was filling with seep water. They felt it was not a bear or human track, camped nearby uneasily overnight without hearing anything unusual, and left at first light.

Several children riding bikes on a snow-covered dirt road reported seeing footprints and walked barefoot in the snow, getting their feet cold and wet. Their mother went to look and reported finding large human-like tracks in deep snow, which were photographed. A later examination documented a trackway of about two dozen large prints leading from a hill to the road.

The witness was hunting with five relatives and family friends in a remote part of the Everglades in the fall. The witness and a companion were staying at a closed lakeside resort in winter to ski on the snow-covered beach. Shortly after setting out in the afternoon they found two sets of very large footprints in the snow running along the bay. They followed the tracks and found body-sized impressions where the makers appeared to have lain and moved limbs in the snow, then found a partly eaten fish near a dock. As dusk approached they left the area and saw nothing further that night.

While deer hunting with three family members near Whatum Lake, the witness found and followed a trackway of huge human-like footprints. Near where the tracks crossed a road the group found berry-filled scat, and later found another set of similar tracks in an old burn area. No creature was seen; the group concluded the tracks were from bigfoot.

The witness was elk hunting on horseback in the Idaho wilderness with a companion when their horses became unmanageable near a ridgetop. They discovered very large fresh human-like footprints in snow that did not look like bear tracks. After moving away, they learned that two hunters camped in the next valley had abandoned camp after reporting a screaming animal throwing logs and destroying their camp.

The witness was sleeping at a sandy riverside camp when dogs barked then became frightened and quiet. With eyes kept shut, the witness heard something walking in the water, noticed a strong urine-like odor, and felt something brush their hair during an encounter lasting several minutes. At daybreak, very large foot-like indentations were found in dry and wet sand around the sleeping area, campfire and tent.

In late July 1974 the witness walked with his parents and dog south along a trail toward thick woods. As they walked they heard loud cracks, pops and snaps from the treeline that seemed to parallel their movement, smelled rotten garbage, and the dog became fearful. Near the site of a previously found stick shelter they heard a tree snap and crash nearby, then turned back while snapping sounds seemed to follow them to the clearing.
