A couple sleeping in their parked SUV at a logging-road campsite were awakened around 2:30 a.m. when the wife felt a firm touch on her leg through a partially open rear window and then heard light footfalls moving away. Neither witness saw anything when listening and peeking out. In the morning they found very large muddy fingerprints on the vehicle near the window.

He answered with rapid knocks, after which the sounds stopped and further knocking got no response. Both individuals heard the exchange and thought it was either another person or a Sasquatch.

After midnight an on-duty officer searching for a stolen snowmobile along a river heard loud crashing and heavy running in a treeline. He then found large human-like footprints in snow, with two larger sets and one smaller set, showing a long stride and signs of running. He and two deputies photographed the tracks and interpreted the trail as individuals scouting, pausing, and circling before leaving, then withdrew from the area.

The larger prints were measured at 13 to 14 inches long with strides over five feet, while smaller prints were interpreted as a juvenile. After losing sleep they left for a family cabin and returned next morning to find the tent zipper partly open with the lantern still on.

The witness searched the treeline with a flashlight and vehicle high beams but saw nothing, then the entity ran away crashing through limbs and exhaling loudly. At daylight they found broken branches and bare-foot slide marks, then broke camp and left.

The first night included talk-like and giggling sounds followed by an hour of limbs breaking all around them. The next morning they found widespread broken limbs and a snapped tree but no footprints, and did not return.
