The witness was lying in bed at home around 4am when an unidentified screaming sound was heard outside. Dogs appeared to chase the source, and heavy thudding footsteps passed the window followed by barking dogs. The witness was frightened, did not look outside, and years later recognized a similar scream on a television program about Bigfoot.
Movement only in Washington (1968)
While serving on active duty and assigned to guard duty at a military base, the witness's father and others in his unit responded to a report of noises at a newly installed perimeter fence. They found several fence posts pulled from the ground and saw movement. They ordered whoever was there to show themselves and then fired, finding no blood or other result, and the unit was shipped out much earlier than originally scheduled.

As an eight-year-old at a two-week summer camp, the witness was lying awake in an open cabin at night after the head count. He heard footsteps circle the cabin and then saw a very tall, dark-haired, gorilla-like figure fill the open doorway and stare in for several minutes. The figure then left toward the mess area, after which the witness heard garbage cans being overturned.

The witness was resting by the Des Plaines River during a bicycle ride when a hair-covered creature was seen across the river splashing in the water. After the witness coughed, the creature threw large rocks toward the witness, then crossed the river silently and confronted the witness at close range. The witness fled along a trail while hearing a loud howl and screaming and seeing additional shadowy figures across the river.

Two companions were hiking a faint trail in late afternoon to scout a fishing spot for the next morning. From a short distance ahead they heard an extremely loud, high-pitched scream that continued without pause for minutes. As they retreated, trees were heard and seen breaking and falling along a nearby ridge as the unseen source moved parallel to them. They never saw the source and left the area without returning.

The witness and four friends camped near Mount Si to ride mini-bikes and fish a beaver pond creek. A loud guttural scream panicked them, then an arm and head peeked over a stump before a giant brown creature stood up, stared, and walked 50 yards into trees. They fled on bikes and later camped with armed strangers before going home.

The witness was camping with friends on a relative's farm when they heard noises from woods to the north. A deer ran past their campfire and they heard movement as if something was walking around their campsite. Thinking it might be a bear, they readied rifles until the sounds faded after about ten minutes. They were left with the impression of something large moving upright.

While camped by a large river the group heard whoops and wood knocks from across the water. Around midnight rocks and small trees were thrown at camp and horses panicked. The witness says mental contact with a familiar individual led to intervention and a warning to leave immediately.

As an eleven-year-old the witness became hypothermic swimming a freezing river and drifted toward a grizzly fishing downstream. A loud roar came from the hillside and a large hairy biped carrying two large rocks ran to the river, causing the bear to flee. The witness exchanged mental communication with the figure before relatives arrived and the figure disappeared.

The witness was sitting outside on a warm late evening visiting with his father when he heard steady bipedal-sounding footsteps descending the steep wooded hill behind the house. The sounds grew closer to the treeline, stopped and shuffled briefly, then returned up the hill until out of earshot. The witness saw no light and heard no voice, and his father heard nothing.

They saw a large human-like figure running while being chased by dogs and emitting a loud screaming sound. The next day the witness found very large bare-foot tracks in mud near home and learned relatives on the next street had also heard the screaming.
