On the last night after about four months, the guest and her friend lay in the dark cabin. After hearing what seemed like a jet overhead, a very loud prolonged vocalization occurred about ten feet outside. They froze without moving or speaking, then left at daylight.

After tree-breaking sounds and the trooper fleeing, a large hairy upright creature approached to about 30 feet, vocalized intensely, then turned and walked away across the field into the woods.

She remained silent and did not tell her family at the time.

In mid-summer 1975 around midnight, the witness and three companions were wading the Olentangy River when they heard breaking brush and saw a tall hair-covered biped at the tree line. The figure followed them downstream as they moved, and they heard heavy movement in the water and a howl as they fled to a nearby apartment complex. At the woods edge near the apartments it stopped and stared at them before they ran toward town and abandoned their gear for two days.
