Footsteps heard on beach, witness turns to see a furry leg disappear around a bend

The witness was hiking back toward the car through dunes and a small forested area near a creek as daylight faded in drizzle. After hearing quiet stepping sounds, the witness turned and glimpsed a large furry human-like leg disappearing around a bend. Believing it was a Bigfoot that meant no harm but feeling frightened, the witness did not pursue it and sprinted to the car.

Two hikers returning up a dry creek bed in late afternoon smelled a strong foul odor and noticed a dead squirrel placed over a boot print. From a short distance away they heard loud banging like wood striking trees, saw treetops swaying, then heard very loud groaning and screaming vocalizations. The sounds paused while they walked away and resumed when they stopped, until they left the area.

The witness stayed overnight at a relative's home outside Scottsville and heard loud woman-like screaming during the night that woke everyone in the house. The relatives attributed the sound to the thing that lives in the woods. The witness never saw the creature, only heard it.

The reporting relative relayed an account from the witness, who was painting a vacant house at night. Around 10:45 p.m. the witness stepped into the front yard to smoke and heard dogs barking and something crashing through trees. A very large, hairy creature ran past at high speed making loud grunting sounds before crossing the road and disappearing.

Hiker has daytime encounter in Sam Houston National Forest

The witness was walking alone on an old logging road into the forest when he noticed a dark, robust, hairy being crouched in thick brush watching him. The being paralleled him for 20-25 minutes, then crouched low when approached, producing a strange odor and low growl. After hearing large movement behind him, the witness retreated to the trail and watched the first being stand upright and stare, as a second much larger dark being appeared beside it before he ran home.

Two companions were camping overnight on a fishing trip near Sullivan Lake when they were awakened by a distant crash and a musty odor. A second, louder crash close to camp was followed by a grunt, and the narrator saw a tall gray-furred shape through the tent mesh that fled when lit by a flashlight. Both spent the rest of the night in the truck and left the area the next day.

The witness was camping alone late at night after hunting, field-dressing a deer, and leaving the entrails away from camp. After hearing footsteps and faint noises to the south, the witness smelled a strong foul odor and walked out with a rifle and spotlight. A big hairy figure stood up, watched the witness briefly, then walked away casually. The witness returned to the tent but left the campsite that night.

The witness and a [name withheld] went squirrel shooting in a clearcut in the afternoon. From about 75 to 100 yards away across a creek they heard rock-clacking, wrestling noises, and heavy thudding footsteps for about 3 minutes. They left quickly, feeling they were being watched, without ever seeing the source.

Hikers startled by encounter at remote cabin near Woodstock

Three backpackers camping at a remote stone cabin heard loud heavy bipedal footsteps circling their site for an extended period and retreated inside. After the sounds stopped outside a shuttered window, the shutters were opened to reveal a large dark hairy face with large eyes staring in from very close range. After a few seconds of mutual staring the creature left quickly and no further sounds were heard overnight. They left in the morning and found no tracks due to ice.

On Goat Mt. - Bigfoot pushes tree over on campfire

The witness and friends were around a campfire at night when they heard movement in the brush around them that stopped when a flashlight was shone. A tree was then pushed over onto the fire, putting it out. When they shone the light toward the direction the tree came from, they saw a large black furry creature moving quickly away and breaking branches off trees.

Possible tracks observed on a frozen lake near Invemere

Two people walking across a frozen lake found a trackway of very large five-toed footprints and followed it for several hundred yards toward the opposite shore. The prints were described as 14-16 inches long with a bridge-like ridge and spaced 5-7 feet apart. While in the area they also heard intermittent small thudding sounds in short bursts.

Sound of rocks smashing together and hitting trees heard

The witness and at least one companion were on foot near a thicket after visiting a stone foundation. They heard several distinct thumps and impacts nearby, including one that shook a live tree and set a lower branch swaying though nothing was visible under the tree. The witness later interpreted some sounds as a rock striking a fallen trunk and a rock smashing against rock at distances from about 30 feet to about 100 yards.

She heard a huge splash and swimming sounds, smelled a horrible odor, and saw a figure standing in deep water that then lowered to head-out and swam away. The next morning a large partial footprint was found on the beach where a foot slid off a rock into sand.

Fresh tracks found, strange birdcalls heard

Three people walking up a rainy logging road found a fresh very large five-toed footprint on the roadside, plus a second set of smaller prints and large impressions leading to and across the road. The clearest detail washed away in the rain before photos could preserve it, leaving only foot-like outlines. The group also heard very loud crow-like calls that seemed unusual in the rain.

Campers hear tree knocking, feel uncomfortable and leave

The witnesses were camped beside a creek and exploring the area when they heard distant wood-on-wood strikes lasting about 20 minutes. The sounds came in groups of two or three with pauses and seemed to answer the witnesses' attempts to imitate them. The witnesses felt the rhythm did not match woodpeckers or an axe and could not reproduce the loud sound themselves.
