Campers hear tree knocking, feel uncomfortable and leave
Account
The witnesses were camped beside a creek and exploring the area when they heard distant wood-on-wood strikes lasting about 20 minutes. The sounds came in groups of two or three with pauses and seemed to answer the witnesses' attempts to imitate them. The witnesses felt the rhythm did not match woodpeckers or an axe and could not reproduce the loud sound themselves.
