A witness camping with two relatives heard repeated whoop sounds and felt watched during an early-evening hike, then ran back to camp. Overnight the group heard heavy slow footsteps outside the tent, and around 4 a.m. noticed a strong foul dirty-animal odor. By morning the tent and tarp were found marked with a strong urine-like smell, and the tarp was left behind.

The witness and companions returned in the morning to the area where a decapitated boar had been found the day before. They heard crashing in the brush and a loud scream and ran toward the sound. They saw a tall dark figure cross a dyke and wade through deep water until it disappeared. Shortly after, a hog head was thrown from the swamp and struck a companion, who fired shots, and the group left that afternoon.

While scouting, the group returned to the area where they had found a decapitated hog. They heard crashing and a loud scream, then saw a tall dark figure run over a dyke and wade through deep water with only its head and shoulders visible. Moments later a hog head was thrown from the swamp and struck a companion, who fired several shots toward the swamp before the group left.

The witness and his brother camped at Onion Lake during a Bigfoot expedition. From about 9 p.m. until about 5 a.m., they heard loud, rough, brief grunts coming from multiple directions around camp that seemed to answer each other. They shone a spotlight toward one close grunt but saw nothing and heard no movement in the brush.

Two brothers camping at Onion Lake heard loud, rough grunts lasting about a second from multiple directions around camp, apparently answering each other from about 9 p.m. until about 5 a.m. A deer ran into camp after the first grunt and several deer stayed close to the tent all night. Despite searching with a spotlight the witnesses saw nothing and heard no movement through brush, and found nothing the next morning.

Footsteps heard, large figure seen by camper

Five people were camped for two nights over a July 4th weekend. On the second night after sleep began, three campers reported disturbances around the tents. The reporter heard crunching footsteps nearby without hearing anyone exit a tent, a companion heard similar sounds and saw a large figure move away from another tent into darkness, and the occupant of that tent heard movement and felt something press against the tent. The group compared accounts the next day after leaving and did no evidence search.

Witness and his girlfriend hear strange sounds near Magnetawan

The witness was camping with a companion and the companion's parents in northern Ontario. Around 9-10 pm as it grew dark, the group heard a loud, clear vocalization first thought to be a wolf or coyote but then judged to be neither. The sound continued for an extended period. The next day the witness compared wildlife recordings and found a BFRO howl recording to be the closest match, though quieter than what was heard.

The witness and companions were night-fishing when they heard an extremely loud scream from the hillside described as woman-like but different. After a flashlight search revealed nothing, the sound repeated three more times followed by loud pain-like howling. The reporter's group and two nearby anglers all left quickly, saying they had never heard such sounds.

A group staying overnight in cabins was awakened around 3 to 4 AM by loud wood-on-wood knocking that continued on and off for about five minutes. The witnesses could not determine the direction or distance of the sounds. Some in the group had noticed a foul odor earlier that night, and a dog had reacted aggressively to something across the hollow the previous evening.

The witness was staying with a companion in the living room of a relative's house late at night after a relative had reported a very tall figure outside. After hearing noises like objects being thrown in the dining room, the witness went to check and saw a large hand reach through the window, across a table, and take a bowl containing food. Those present were frightened and the witness called the conservation office, after which nothing further happened that night.

The group had just set up camp for a multi-day fishing trip when they began hearing loud echoing calls described as a mix of howl and scream lasting about five seconds each. The sounds seemed to come from above railroad tracks at the west end of the lake and continued for roughly 35 minutes despite shouting from another camper.

They also noted local predators such as coyotes had been absent for about a week.

The noises continued until shortly before dawn. In the morning, possible unfamiliar tracks and a trail of pushed-down grass with long strides were found in a field behind a stream.
