The sound rose from a low moan to a near-scream lasting about three seconds, followed by two to three short whoops. The witness stopped work and went inside, and later felt a downloaded Bigfoot scream matched what was heard.

During a late-night stay on a fishing trip, the witness and two companions observed three hair-covered bipedal figures near a cabin and parked vehicles. One tall figure stood at the treeline rocking and bobbing while two smaller figures crouched behind a truck watching them. After a vehicle was started and moved, the figures fled into the woods, with one later seen running across a road on two legs. The group then heard movement and breaking brush toward the lake and later noticed broken vegetation and possible tracks and hair.

During an overnight fishing trip the witness and his girlfriend were sleeping in a parked vehicle near a cabin when they noticed a tall hair-covered figure standing at the tree line and two smaller crouched figures near a truck. After alerting a companion in the cabin, the witness started the vehicle to shine lights on the figures, which then fled into the trees. A companion reported something running across the road as they drove, and later the group heard commotion near the lake.

A couple hiking on state game land around a swamp stopped in the woods to listen and heard repeated series of loud, deep knocks from multiple directions and distances. They perceived the sounds as communication and felt uncomfortable enough to leave the area quickly. On the way back to the car they heard additional knocks from across the swamp and continued out without investigating the source.

The witness and a companion were sitting at their campsite campfire at night when they heard loud canine-like howl and whoop calls from multiple directions, approaching to within about 35 yards. The calls were described as deeper and louder than coyote or wolf, followed by fast gutteral sounds likened to a language or argument between two animals. The pair ruled out known animals and a human prank after hearing a second matching voice upstream. The vocal exchange lasted about five to seven minutes before the animals appeared to move away upstream over a bluff.

While on a weekend deer-hunting trip, the witness slept in a tent at a camp shared with a companion. In the middle of the night a heavy bipedal-sounding walker approached and stopped beside the witness's tent, where breathing, soft growls, sniffing, and a strong unfamiliar odor were perceived through the fabric. After a few minutes it walked away breaking branches. The companion slept through the event and later suggested a bear, which the witness rejected.

While hunting deer alone in the morning, the witness heard repeated sounds like logs or poles being thrown, then found a tree with bark removed, a large packed bed, a human-like track, and unfamiliar scat. After glimpsing brown fur duck behind a log, the witness heard an extremely loud low roar-like yell from behind with crashing, then heard crashing and throwing sounds staying out of sight while leaving for about 200 yards. No full animal was clearly seen.

The witness was driving home around midnight when he saw a tall figure standing by a roadside fence watching him pass. Believing it was a man needing help, he stopped, got out with a flashlight, and started walking back toward it. A loud vocalization shifting from high-pitched to low guttural frightened him, causing him to drop the flashlight and drive away. He returned the next day to recover the flashlight and found only flattened grass with no footprints or hair.

The witness and a companion had moved away from a party in a wooded clearing to talk and listen to music near portable lights. They heard something approaching down the hill behind them, and the witness shone a light on a large black hairy figure estimated at about eight feet tall. The figure retreated uphill into the woods, and the two witnesses fled past the party and drove away in the witness's truck.

While hiking alone and descending a dry trail, the witness heard a loud crashing nearby and saw a large black ape-like animal running uphill, visible from the waist up. The animal tripped, caught itself, showed its face in profile, then disappeared while a fallen tree rocked and a possible face was glimpsed. The witness photographed the area, heard and saw nothing further, found no other tracks, and later found possible scat in the direction the animal headed.

The witnesses were awakened at home by very loud calls heard about a dozen times. The witness went outside and imitated the calls, and the source answered several times while apparently approaching to the edge of the yard. The witness could not see the source through the trees and went back inside feeling uncomfortable. Their three dogs remained tense and silent throughout the vocalizations.

The witness camped overnight in the cab of his truck before deer hunting season. Around 4 a.m. he got outside and heard deep breathing nearby, then after getting back in the truck heard a high-pitched warbling yodel from the direction of the mountain. He saw nothing with a flashlight and stayed awake in the truck until dawn.
