BC family sees a possible family group of sasquatch
The witness was on a family drive for hiking near Ashnola when the group heard loud screaming and howling from the forest that the son compared to alleged sasquatch sounds heard online. A car horn blast stopped the sounds. The group then drove about a quarter mile and the witness stopped to examine old large footprints in snow in the middle of the road.

While camping in a remote lake area, the family heard very powerful howls for about half an hour that did not sound like coyotes or other known animals. They later heard another nearby couple was frightened enough to leave.

The witness's dog had run toward the source before the scream and ran back to the house very quickly afterward. A neighbor came to check the area with a gun but found nothing. After he struck a tree with a bat, the group heard overlapping moaning howls from opposite sides, heavy marching sounds, a returned knock, a rock landing in the road, a whoop, and finally a very loud close scream that terrified the group. The party retreated to the vehicle to listen and later left the area, with the guest noting a distinctive tree to check for tracks the next day.

In 2006 the guest came home late to feed dogs in heavy fog. Dogs were terrified and a llama gave an alarm call far away, while something unseen moved within 20 feet and circled him as he backed to the house with a shovel. It recurred several nights, then after hearing splashing he found fifteen-inch tracks in mud the next morning.

Three people were camping overnight in a tent on private woodland. During the night one person left the tent with indigestion and rekindled the campfire while the others remained inside. All three then heard a loud high-pitched yelp from the woods immediately around the campsite, prompting the person outside to rush back into the tent. The group stayed quiet and heard nothing further.
Possible encounter while backpacking in the Hoosier National Forest
Three people were camped overnight in a valley when they heard a deep growl followed by a howl. They then heard large branches or trees snapping and being thrown toward camp, followed by sounds of a small animal in distress and then silence. Finally they heard something large running away through the woods, breaking branches and rustling leaves. They saw nothing in the darkness and could not identify the source.

After dark the witness went down to a lake dock to remove a battery charger from a bass boat and shined a spotlight across the cove. He noticed a tall dark figure in 6 to 7 foot grass, whistled at it and heard a different whistle returned. The witness was hunting from a tree stand in the late afternoon when he heard very loud, unfamiliar yells from about 150-200 yards away. The yells repeated minutes later from apparently closer. He then watched a small sapling whip violently side to side for about a minute while surrounding grasses did not move similarly. Feeling uneasy as darkness approached, he climbed down and left the woods without ever seeing the source.

Two campers on a sandbar heard a loud scream, heavy bipedal footsteps and splashes in the creek after dark. When they left the tent with flashlights they saw large green eyes without visible pupils a short distance away on their path. After verbal warnings shots were fired toward the eyes, which advanced a few steps instead of fleeing, prompting the pair to call for help to leave the woods.

During an overnight stakeout on a remote gravel road, the witness heard eyeshine pairs, shaking sounds and motion-detector triggers. A shape dashed across the road in shadow, showing only gray fur along a vertical spine. It briefly blocked a reflective sign that later measured to require about seven feet of height.

The witness was outside with children near the barn just before sunset when a loud howl was heard from about 100 yards to the south. Late at night the witness stepped outside the house and heard a low, loud whooing vocalization coming from the river bottoms that lasted about a minute. As soon as the sound stopped, neighborhood dogs and distant coyotes began barking and howling at once. The witness stayed inside that night and found nothing further when checking the tree line the next morning.
