Wood knock in Georgia (2006)
Account
The guest described taking three companions, two of them skeptics, to a forested road near a creek bottom for nighttime field research in 2006. After he struck a tree with a bat, the group heard overlapping moaning howls from opposite sides, heavy marching sounds, a returned knock, a rock landing in the road, a whoop, and finally a very loud close scream that terrified the group. The party retreated to the vehicle to listen and later left the area, with the guest noting a distinctive tree to check for tracks the next day.
