The witness was deer hunting with his brother when he saw a very large figure standing by a tree about 300 yards away through his scope. He first thought it was a person in a ghillie suit but decided it was too large to be a man. His brother later found very long footprints in dust where it stood, and they heard strange vocal sounds that day.
College students get approached by sasquatch and shoot at it
Four college geology students camping at night heard howling from a canyon and then saw the outline of a huge bipedal animal on the road in moon and campfire light. When the animal approached, one student fired a rifle several times, after which it crossed the road and moved noisily up the opposite slope through brush. A responding deputy examined the area the next day and reported indistinct impressions, small pushed-over trees and long uphill strides, but no blood or fur.

The witness and two companions were snow sledding at night when they heard loud noise and commotion beyond their firelight and fled to the house. The next day they returned and found very large tracks in the snow leading from and back into nearby woods, with tracks around a tree with stripped branches. They did not see the source of the sound and report no further experiences since.

The guest drove into an unmowed field off Abair Road after midnight with a trooper in another field and waited. After tree-breaking sounds and the trooper fleeing, a large hairy upright creature approached to about 30 feet, vocalized intensely, then turned and walked away across the field into the woods.

In mid-summer 1975 around midnight, the witness and three companions were wading the Olentangy River when they heard breaking brush and saw a tall hair-covered biped at the tree line. The figure followed them downstream as they moved, and they heard heavy movement in the water and a howl as they fled to a nearby apartment complex. At the woods edge near the apartments it stopped and stared at them before they ran toward town and abandoned their gear for two days.

A young child playing in a yard screamed as a tall hairy figure bounded toward the house and reached for the child. The mother smelled a foul odor, grabbed the child, and ran inside. Police who responded heard unrecognized howls and had rocks thrown at them.

Overnight at a cabin, the wife noticed a strong odor, heard a metallic bang on the back porch and crunching footsteps moving toward the driveway. She woke her husband, who went outside with a flashlight and found a strong smell and large man-like footprints where frozen food stored under a wash tub had been disturbed. Investigators visited a week later, examined remaining tracks, took photographs and measurements, and collected hair.

No creature was reportedly seen clearly, and the interpretation as possible Sasquatch activity developed over later years.

The teller and companions camped in a marshy cedar area after being asked to watch for activity. One man bedded down in a canvas pitcher tent and said a large hand reached under and dragged him. They found large human-like tracks and a knee impression behind the tent, then heard distant screams and circling sounds through the night while keeping up a large fire.

Through brush about 50 yards away, the witness saw a large gray-brown hairy animal crouched over a burrow digging with hand-like limbs and making grunting sounds. When it began to shift toward the witness, the witness fled to campus and reported the sighting to school staff.

The witness was traveling with family members when their vehicle pulled over and everyone got out. The group noticed many large footprints in sand along a small river leading uphill toward the forest. They then heard a noise from the ridge across the river and briefly saw a large creature moving bipedally over the ridge out of sight, after which they got back in the vehicle and left.

In 1975 the witness's family living near Spottsville, Kentucky experienced repeated activity over many months. She described hearing loud limb breaks and an elephant-like scream, smelling a dead-like odor, finding footprints, and losing livestock and pets with entrails removed. She twice saw an 8-foot hairy figure on the property, and four armed relatives fired from the roof as the figure ran past a barn and jumped a fence unaffected.

The witness and his cousin heard noises outside the house for about 20 minutes and went into the backyard with a flashlight. They saw a tall hair-covered figure standing just beyond a six-foot fence staring at them. After a few seconds they ran back inside frightened. The next morning they found two deep impressions in the sandy soil beyond the fence.

The witness was sleeping at a sandy riverside camp when dogs barked then became frightened and quiet. With eyes kept shut, the witness heard something walking in the water, noticed a strong urine-like odor, and felt something brush their hair during an encounter lasting several minutes. At daybreak, very large foot-like indentations were found in dry and wet sand around the sleeping area, campfire and tent.

The witness and a companion camped overnight in a tent in scrub pine after returning from a motorcycle rally. Late at night something approached the tent, producing a strong odor, audible movement, breathing and ground vibration, and a loud scream that continued intermittently before leaving. At daylight the witness found large indistinct impressions in grass and broken ferns leading toward a cliff but no clear tracks.

Around 3 a.m. the dogs reacted, floodlights came on, and a huge shadow crossed the wall. The witness peeked out the front picture window and saw a very tall hairy biped that flexed and screamed. It then walked along the fence, ate a wild watermelon, drank from a neighbor's man-made lake, and left toward the swamp. Next morning large footprints were found but were trampled before casting.
Tracks in Kentucky (1973)
The following spring the grandfather woke the guest and his brother on Easter morning to show deep large footprints in mud outside the bedroom window trailing to the parents window and front porch. To keep the mother from seeing them the grandfather had the boys wash the tracks away with well water. Later that day the brothers found matching large tracks in the field where the 1972 figure stood, measured one at about 19 inches, then heard an owl-like hoot tapering to a growl and fled.

They fled to a neighboring house, where the resident let them in and all three watched the figure stand in the front yard about 12 feet from the porch before it crossed the road and descended an embankment toward the river plain. At dawn a neighbor was called and later found large footprints that were traced downriver until they entered the water.
