The witness was sleeping lightly in a tent on family property during a reunion camping trip after several nights of growls, whoops, and sounds of movement in the woods. About 1:46am something pressed the back of the tent against her back, grabbed her left arm through the fabric, and shook the tall air mattress violently while a bright white light shone on the tent. The shaking and light stopped, and she found the tent had been pushed 5 to 7 feet forward. She stayed awake, left the next morning, and later found fingerprint-like marks on her arm that were photographed.
Stalking by a large creature around family tents at midnight at Skookumchuck Reservoir
The witness was lying awake in a tent at a restricted lakeside camp around midnight when she heard slow, rhythmic footsteps circling the campsite for about 45 minutes. The walker paused near food areas, approached another tent when a child cried, and left after a car alarm sounded, stepping over a fence into the woods. She never opened the tent to look and concluded from the stride and sounds that it was not human.

Two people walking on opposite sides of a road heard rustling in brush on an adjacent old railroad bed. The closer witness looked and saw a very dark, massive, hair-covered form about 20-30 feet away. The creature turned from side view to face them, stepped toward them, then squatted down and stared, showing amber eyes and a hair-covered face.
Retired wildlife biologist reports gravel thrown at truck, a vocalization and wood knocks on Radar Dome, near Colville
The witness and a companion sat around a campfire at night in a parking lot study area. From about 200 feet away they heard growl-whoop-scream vocalizations and wood-on-wood thumps, followed later by pea gravel striking the truck. Trail cameras reportedly captured gravel in motion and a large black partial figure showing shoulder, arm and open hand.

The witness and companions were elk hunting and hiking up Spencer Butte on a rainy morning when two of them heard a distant yowl. At the top the witness found an alder shaking without wind and heard something moving away. Shortly after the witness found a large left-foot print with distinct toes in mud and gravel and photographed it.
Campers describe loud branch snap, howls, and possible track, northeast of Cougar
The witness and a relative camped overnight beside a creek after scouting the area for hunting. Around 10 p.m. a loud nearby branch break woke them, but a flashlight search revealed nothing. An hour later distant howls woke them again, with further responses heard after the witness howled back, and footsteps were later heard near the tent. Next morning a single large deep footprint was found near the tent and photographed.
Elk hunter reports trees being pushed over and vocalizations in the Colonel Bob Wilderness
On opening day of elk season the witness camped alone on a remote spur road after hunting all day. After dark he struck a tree with a limb, then heard a large tree pushed over upslope, primate-like yells and chatter from both upslope and the ravine below, and heavy footsteps. Unnerved by the sense of being surrounded, he packed up and drove out without seeing anything.

The witness was lying awake in her motorhome at a secluded river property shortly after midnight when she heard loud banging sounds alternating between two directions. She interpreted the sounds as coming from two individuals exchanging signals. After falling asleep and waking in the morning, she found a single large bare footprint near the gravel walkway and photographed it before it was accidentally erased.

A couple sleeping in their parked SUV at a logging-road campsite were awakened around 2:30 a.m. when the wife felt a firm touch on her leg through a partially open rear window and then heard light footfalls moving away. Neither witness saw anything when listening and peeking out. In the morning they found very large muddy fingerprints on the vehicle near the window.

Two hunters spent eight days camping in a tent while hunting. Most nights they heard moaning/howling and reciprocal wood knocks that seemed to move closer, and one night heard growls outside the tent but saw nothing when they rushed out with guns and flashlights. Twice they returned from hunting to find trees blocking or inside camp, including a large healthy green pine pushed over. After losing sleep they left for a family cabin and returned next morning to find the tent zipper partly open with the lantern still on.

Two hikers arrived at a trailhead in the early morning to climb and heard knocks from uphill and downhill, followed by stick-breaking sounds like footsteps. They knocked back and received responses, filmed the exchange, then heard further knocks and repetitive rock-on-tree tapping as they started up the trail. They saw nothing in the dense woods and eventually left.
Property owner outside Centralia describes multiple incidents
The witness lives with his wife on raw wooded property. He set out a peccary archery target that was found the next morning pulled up and pulled apart with apparent teeth marks. About two weeks before reporting, the couple heard a loud short call followed by a softer answering call ending in repeated grunts, which caused deer to flee.

The witness and a companion stopped off a forest road so the witness could target shoot while the companion waited at the truck. After the witness returned to the road, both heard repeated very loud cracking snaps from a wooded hilltop about 100 yards away, spaced about 30 seconds apart, along with movement and bark-ripping sounds. The witness walked partway up the hill filming with a cell phone and captured at least one loud crack before returning to the truck and leaving.

The witness hiked down a service road into a ravine and heard two loud wood-on-wood impacts from uphill. After returning to the vehicle for a camera battery, the witness found a line of large tracks crossing a dirt berm that had not been there earlier. The witness photographed the tracks and made a cast of the clearest impression, also noting an odd odor and a crashing sound in the area.

Two men sat in complete darkness in a forest hotspot talking and playing harmonicas to invite contact while two companions monitored from about 100 yards with a thermal imager. After hearing a stick break and soft knocks, they reported seeing a small red-orange light near the ground that illuminated ferns and silhouetted what looked like a large finger with knuckles moving toward them before fading. They remained on site afterward playing music and talking.

Two people exploring logging roads by jeep stopped to scout a side road on foot. They heard knocking sounds like a stick hitting a tree, then a very loud prolonged cracking like a thick log breaking nearby. They left without seeing any people or vehicles that could explain the noises. A photo taken toward the sounds was later thought to contain something odd but was deemed inconclusive.

In April 2013 the guest took his teenage son camping at a just-opened campground off Highway 14 along the Columbia River. During a daytime walk they found an old large track, opened clam shells out of place, a fresh vine-maple twist tucked behind a fir, an 18-inch footprint beneath it, and several pushed or tossed trees. That night in camp they heard branch-breaking, felt the tarps pulled, heard splashing, felt vibration waves, and heard two wood knocks before leaving exhausted in the morning.

On a November afternoon hunt, the witness heard loud yelling mixed with growls and screams nearby and recorded trees breaking and heavy pounding footsteps approaching. Deer in the area fled as the sounds got closer, and the witness left quickly. Cattle in a nearby pasture were later seen huddled far from the sounds.

The witness and four companions were pausing in a hay field during a target-practice outing when the witness spotted a large dark figure rising from a blackberry patch. The figure walked across a trail, paused by a fir tree and looked toward the group, then continued into an adjacent field. The group went to the spot, found flattened brush and a bent-grass trail, estimated the figure's height against the tree, took photos, and then heard knocking beats and hooting sounds after birds flushed and dogs barked in the distance.

After a companion fell asleep, the witness decided to walk home late at night along a road bordered by young planted trees. Something in the trees paced him from the side, stopping when he stopped and continuing when he walked. When he tried to look larger and shouted, he heard deep grunts and saw two small trees shake vigorously. He called a nearby friend for a ride and kept shouting until he was picked up.
