While at the vehicle, the witness heard a very loud wail or scream lasting about 10-15 seconds from the north. The witness froze, then started a hike after a delay, having captured only the tail end of the sound on phone video.

Two campers floating and fishing the Lower Buffalo River heard loud monkey-like vocalizations from the bank and later camped on a gravel bar. Through the night they reported repeated wood knocks, yells, chatter, whistles, a tree snap, and cantaloupe-sized rocks landing in the river from the ridge across from camp. They lit the camp, kept fire watch in shifts, and at dawn packed and paddled out after a final rock fell in front of them.

The witness and a companion were asleep at home when they were awakened around midnight by a thump on a storage box beneath the bedroom window and sensations described as footsteps. The next afternoon they found two lines of large human-like barefoot prints in fresh snow leading toward and past the window, merging into one line before crossing the road toward a treeline. The larger prints were measured at 13 to 14 inches long with strides over five feet, while smaller prints were interpreted as a juvenile. Photos and measurements were taken before melt and wind degraded the tracks.

Two hikers arrived at a trailhead in the early morning to climb and heard knocks from uphill and downhill, followed by stick-breaking sounds like footsteps. They knocked back and received responses, filmed the exchange, then heard further knocks and repetitive rock-on-tree tapping as they started up the trail. They saw nothing in the dense woods and eventually left.

While on the phone, they saw a football-sized rock fly through the air about three-quarters of the way across the swamp and land in the water. After the witness returned to the road, both heard repeated very loud cracking snaps from a wooded hilltop about 100 yards away, spaced about 30 seconds apart, along with movement and bark-ripping sounds. The witness walked partway up the hill filming with a cell phone and captured at least one loud crack before returning to the truck and leaving.

They shone a flashlight into the woods and saw green eyes, heard trees and brush thrashing as something moved, and smelled a strong scat-like stench. After watching about five minutes they gathered gear and walked back to the parking area feeling watched.
