Country boys have frightening nightime encounter 50 miles south of Louisville
The witness and two companions stopped on a rural back road at night and heard a distant knock, then sounds of wood breaking after the witness whistled. After driving on to turn around and stopping again, the witness shone a light into the woods and saw a tall dark hairy figure with eyeshine watching them. The encounter lasted only a few seconds before the group drove away in fear.

A group of about ten young campers spent Memorial weekend at a secluded forest clearing. After earlier strange sounds and a brief sighting, one camper encountered a tall bipedal figure near the camp bathroom area and alerted the group. Several campers armed themselves, moved children into a vehicle, fired warning shots, and pursued the figure toward a nearby friends camp where they reported being circled by three tall dark-furred bipeds. The following mornings the group reported handprints on vehicles, footprints, nests, and broken-tree crosses and teepee structures around both camps.

The witness was walking back toward his vehicle along the creek after using predator calls when he heard a loud wood knock and heard footsteps paralleling him. He glimpsed a large upright figure slipping behind a tree, then caught its face and upper body in his spotlight from about 40 yards for about two seconds before it pulled back behind the tree. He retreated through brush, crossed the creek, and hurried back to his vehicle while on the phone with a friend.

Two soldiers on a nighttime security patrol left the patrol base and noticed unnerving silence, cold air, a strong rotten odor, and sounds paralleling them and following behind. They heard a knocking sound and a whistle that mimicked their own signal, then encountered a large shaggy shape blocking the trail that rose from a crouch and walked away upright. They were found by an instructor about a mile from the base perimeter and later told by leadership not to discuss the incident.

The witness hiked into public land to bowhunt deer from a climber stand. After the woods went silent he heard two wood knocks, then saw a black bipedal figure through timber that vanished. Moments later a very large jet-black wolf-like animal appeared nearby staring at him, stalked toward a cedar thicket and disappeared. While hiking out he heard a deep scream-howl, panicked and ran to his truck and avoided the woods for the rest of deer season.
Whoop in Iowa (2023)
The guest and a friend arrived at dusk to camp in a remote state forest and set up tents and a fire. They heard a very loud whoop from the tree line, followed by six knocks in pairs and movement breaking branches in a ravine. After a quiet period they heard close vocalizations including a whoop, rapid chatter and a deep yowl, then saw a dark crouched outline lunge into the forest, after which they abandoned camp and drove home.

The witness and a relative were hunting deer late in the afternoon when they heard sounds like wood blocks struck together. Moments later they saw a dark fur-covered figure moving upright very quickly through thick brush, visible only from the upper thigh up for a few seconds. About five minutes later they heard a loud thud like a limb falling.
Possible sighting in Mohican State Park near Loudonville
Two companions sat in a parked car in Mohican State Park after jokingly making whoop calls, then heard two tree knocks from a steep wooded slope close by. They moved to a more open picnic area where birds grew loud then suddenly stopped, a rock tumbled down a cliff, and the witness saw the left foot, leg and hip of a muscular, short black-haired animal slip behind a tree before they left.

While alone at the pool the witness saw a reddish-brown head and shoulder at a distance, then heard whistles, knocks and deep grunts over several days. Days later she looked up to see a very tall hairy figure standing at the woods edge near the yard. She experienced fog and missing time while getting out of the pool and returning to the house.

The couple returned to the same road to measure the 2003 crossing and hike all day. They smelled strong urine and rotten-meat odors, found odd stacked limbs and other tree breaks, and watched a large limb fly over a cliff into the creek. Through binoculars the witness saw a black-furred being from waist up behind a tree staring back until it blinked, hid, reappeared, and later vanished by bending down. The husband saw an arm, they heard knocks, a whoop and running, and later found a large bare footprint in a creek bank and an impression behind a tree.

The witness and companions were calling coyotes at the edge of a field at night when they noticed yellowish eyeshine behind a tree. They watched through scopes as the source of the eyeshine moved behind the tree, crouched low, briefly disappeared, reappeared nearby, crouched again and then vanished. An apparent wood knock had been heard earlier in the outing.

The witness and his college friend were walking a valley when the friend whooped and received two whoops back from another direction. The witness then saw a small jet-black upright figure peeking from behind a tree. Loud beating like metal, laughter-like chatter, and footsteps on multiple sides followed them as they left uphill toward the house.

The witness and a companion sat around a campfire at night in a parking lot study area. From about 200 feet away they heard growl-whoop-scream vocalizations and wood-on-wood thumps, followed later by pea gravel striking the truck. Trail cameras reportedly captured gravel in motion and a large black partial figure showing shoulder, arm and open hand.

Three people clearing an ATV trail under power lines saw a large bipedal creature about 200 yards away walking toward them, which stopped and turned quickly into the woods. One witness rode an ATV to the nearby road to try to intercept it, but it was gone. While checking roadside sand for prints they heard a short howl followed by two sets of three tree knocks.
Object throwing near Perrysville, Ohio (2020)
A family of four was camping in the primitive area of a park at night when sticks and possible rocks were thrown from the woods and strange noises were heard. After a loud bang on a nearby wooden outhouse, a witness saw a tall dark hairy figure run into the woods. A responding ranger searched the woods, found no one and no damage, and noted the family were the only campers in that section.

The host reads an email about ongoing activity at a property in Washington. A local reportedly saw a Sasquatch cross the road, and residents heard a whoop followed by a tree being pushed down, plus rock clacking and knocking. A recorder captured a loud vocalization.

He searched the area on foot and by sitting in concealment that evening, noticed unusual wildlife silence and a sense of being watched, and heard a final knock above the tent that night.

After evening knocking sounds and a strong musky odor at night, a large human-like creature with yellow eyes appeared at the witness's tent, grabbed it, lifted and dropped the witness inside, then left in a few steps after a shot was fired. The group saw large footprints, later heard whoops from multiple directions, and had a basketball-sized rock thrown at their truck while leaving.

About one to two months ago, the husband witness saw a tall, hair-covered biped walk past their trailer and behind it, disappearing in under ten seconds. The couple report feeling scared to go outside and believe more than one creature may be in the area near caves.
