A young woman riding a horse home through a dry riverbed in the late afternoon encountered a hairy biped near trees. Her horse refused to go forward, and she saw the creature standing and walking parallel about 75 to 100 yards away. They looked at each other for just under a minute before it turned and left into dense brush walking then crouching.
A sighting of a gray shape in the bush near the waters edge, large footprints found afterwards
Two people in separate boats traveling along the shore of a remote lake reported seeing a gray shape that frightened them. The account was covered in a local newspaper in early July 1997 and was later summarized by an investigator who noted the witnesses were reluctant to speak with the press. While loading the vehicle to leave, one witness saw a tall brown human-like figure stand up about 15 feet away and walk toward the river. The pair left the area that night and returned the next day to photograph apparent footprints on a hillside.

The witness accompanied his teenage daughter to a downtown cemetery where she was taking night photos for a class. They watched two orange spheres detach from a meteor-like streak, reappear over a nearby ball field and pass overhead, followed by three bright lights that became a large silent triangular craft passing low overhead before vanishing. They returned in daylight and found large deep footprints in snow, which they photographed and displayed with a written account. The guest and his girlfriend camped on a secluded Oregon beach in August 1995. Over about half an hour they watched a tall black figure pace the beach, then approach to close range where hair, massive shoulders, long arms and a gliding walk became clear. Frightened, they fled to their car, sought help at a nearby RV camp, and the next morning photographed large footprints in the sand. The guest later shared the photos with researchers and returned the next year to trace a worn trail into the forest.

A couple camping on a remote Oregon beach at dusk watched a very large, dark, hair-covered biped walk back and forth on the sand several times, at times passing close by. The witness later found very large, deep footprints where it had walked and, when it approached again at night, shouted and then fled to camp. Both stayed through the night without further sightings and photographed the tracks at daybreak.

Late at night the witness was driving home with an infant passenger on a wooded road with a guardrail and creek. A dark figure crouched by the guardrail stood, raised its arms, then lay down in the lane and the car drove over it. The witness left the scene out of fear, later reported hitting a bear, but no record of the call or physical trace was found the next day.

While deer hunting from a boulder overlooking a clearing, the witness shot a standing figure three times in the back as it ran. It fell to its knees, got up and ran toward camp where his friend also shot. The next night several creatures surrounded the camp and the men fired nearly all ammunition before leaving in the morning.

The second guest says in the mid-1990s while on an eight-night solo hike in southern Oregon he camped at a ridge divide and found a large bare footprint and smeared scuffle-like prints. After dark something black moved in an amphitheater about 75 to 100 feet away, drank at a pond for a minute or more on all fours, then circled his camp bipedally and stared at him with icy gray eyes before leaving. He did not use his flashlight and felt the being warned him not to.

The witness was camped alone at the intersection of four logging roads in Northern California, tending a campfire late at night. He became aware of a pair of reflective eyes watching him from behind a bush about 70 feet away and watched them for over an hour as the fire died down until they disappeared. In the morning he found large foot-shaped flattened grass impressions leading to and from the spot behind the bush.

Very early one morning in 1991, the witness was fishing along the Hood Canal shore and saw an animal digging that was first taken for a bear. When it stood upright, looked at the witness, and walked quickly north into brush and trees on two legs, the witness concluded it was not a bear. The witness later found two clear five-toed footprints measuring 15-16 inches where it had been and photographed them with a shoe for scale.

A family camping at an abandoned mining camp near a military range boundary was told by military personnel to leave due to an escaped convict, but the personnel left for another call. Shortly after, the father was attacked from behind while the mother drove away with the children after hearing screaming and seeing a monster-like pursuer. The father died, his body was recovered inside the range, and years later the son learned from a supervisor that an escaped non-human entity had killed him.

A family driving across Nevada early in the morning encountered a strange object that approached their station wagon and flew above the road. After a tire blowout, mist, humming and slowed perception, they stopped and hid in brush where a saucer landed and three floating beings took the two children aboard. The parents sought help at a military gate while the children were found the next morning on the test range and later described examinations, pills, a calming ribbon and a map.

While wading and fishing with two relatives in summer 1980, the witness reported a strong rotten odor followed by sighting of a tall hairy figure standing in brush on the creek bank. The figure, visible from the waist up, turned its head to look at the group, after which all three left the creek and walked to their car. The father reportedly identified it aloud as Bigfoot.

A friend of the witness's father was photographing deer in his backyard when a strange upright figure was captured. The witness later saw the print with his brother and described it as a skinny upright teddy-bear-like figure with monkey-like facial features and gray skin around the mouth. The picture could not be scanned and was described as floating around among acquaintances.

In the summer of 1979 the witness and a companion had pulled off the road east of Seneca when they heard a loud shrieking growl. A large human-like animal approached their vehicle in bounding steps. The witness shouted for the companion to get in, locked the doors, and fled at high speed, remaining frightened and avoiding that road afterward.
Daylight sighting of yeti crossing glacier in the Himalayas
While backpacking alone in a remote area of Nepal, the witness watched from a hilltop as a large brownish bipedal creature emerged from brush and crossed a glacier below over several minutes before entering brush on the far side. The witness took a photo that came out overexposed and showed only an unclear dark shape. The witness did not descend to the glacier due to breathing difficulty and dense terrain.
Nighttime encounter with campers near Duchesne, in Timber Canyon
The witness and a relative were fishing and camping in a narrow willow canyon at dusk and noticed unusual silence and a feeling of being watched. While sitting by a fire, the companion stared toward the road and the witness then saw a tall dark hairy face peering through willows about 30-40 feet away. The figure then crashed through the creek and willows up the hillside out of sight, after which the pair left hastily.
