The grandchild later said the animal resembled a movie character but with a head bump and was not standing upright.

The occupants of a pickup became lost on logging roads late at night and stopped after the reporter noticed huge glowing eyes ahead. The reporter stared at the eyes and then made out a large black bulky form with massive forearms that stayed motionless in the headlights. They returned, parked, and the witness watched four dark figures on a hill about 150 feet away, with two larger standing and squatting and two smaller sitting. When the high beams came back on, a tall thin blonde-haired creature was seen crossing a clearing and the road ahead without looking toward the truck. It covered the width in two strides with a steady walking gait and continued into woods on the other side.

They glimpsed an ape-like biped charging away through thick brush, breaking limbs and leaving a foul odor. Afterwards they noted disturbed rocks and a partial heel print that later dried out and was not photographed.

He stopped to face it and described a tall dark-haired figure with a cone-shaped head that emitted a low growl. After he looked away and kept walking, the creature followed briefly then disappeared.

The witness was driving on a gravel mountain road in the early morning when he saw a small dark animal sitting in the road. A tall brown-haired female came from the woods, picked up the juvenile and carried it back into the trees. After the witness got out of his car a rock struck the car and a much larger dark individual appeared behind the car, vocalized loudly, then crossed the road into the woods. The witness drove a short distance ahead, stopped, heard movement in the woods and had more small rocks thrown toward him before leaving.

A truck driver hauling potatoes south on I-15 at night drove into fog and saw eyeshine beside the road. When he switched to bright lights, he saw a large hairy biped striding across the freeway from left to right about 20 feet away. He swerved to miss it, regained control, pulled over briefly while shaken, then drove on and called relatives to report the incident.

Standing to look, the witness saw a large hairy figure about twenty yards away walking quickly with a long stride. The figure was estimated at 6 to 7 feet tall, dark rusty brown, with broad muscular shoulders, long arms and no apparent neck, and it never looked toward the witness.

The son photographed it with a cellphone as it traveled parallel to the road, paused to look at them, then crossed the narrow road in two steps and vanished into dense brush. Investigators later interviewed the witnesses, examined the photos, and revisited the site for measurements.
