The witness kept lights on until sunrise and packed up and left the next morning.

The witness camped overnight in a sleeping bag by a dying fire after hearing a metallic clink followed by tree knocks that seemed to answer each other from two directions. Four men were driving south late at night towing a loaded travel trailer when a tall dark form ran toward the road on two feet. The car passed in front of it, but the trailer struck it with enough force to lift the trailer off the ground. The occupants stopped, backed up, and inspected the vehicles and roadway but found no body, blood, hair, or damage.

After months of rabbits and chickens disappearing from locked hutches without feathers or remains, the witness went to feed animals after fresh snow. He found open doors and human-like footprints leading to the tree line and felt watched. He threw a stick at a trunk-like shape in the woods, which then stood and ran off on two legs crashing through trees. The family later moved cages closer to the house and continued to occasionally hear loud screams from the woods.

While investigating, the witness followed glimpses of a shaggy animal through thick cover to a river crossing where it stepped into the open and was seen upright for about 10 seconds before leaving. After it left, the witness heard a loud snap behind and left the area.
Whistle in California (1999)
Shortly after graduation the witness and three friends camped overnight in a vacant house and were tormented by whistles and loud bangs on windows all night. They found the house completely destroyed when they returned the next day. On a dusk return with shotguns they saw trailers upslope, heard the whistle again, and a large rock was thrown at them, prompting gunfire before they fled.

The two hunters arrived late and set up camp and a tree stand in darkness in a hollow bottom. One hunter returned alone to retrieve a phone and heard pacing footsteps, a very loud voice repeating a name, and a laugh, then saw a huge dark shape in tall weeds and fired twice before fleeing. Both hunters were then circled for hours by fast-moving unseen things that stayed out of flashlight range, threw out a poisoned hot dog that was quickly taken by something running on two legs that coughed like a person, and found the heavy welded stand ripped from the tree in the morning.

Later the same year, the witness was alone paddling a 17-foot canoe on the small lake late at night. Something large rose under the canoe and lifted it a foot or two out of the water, and he balanced on its ridged back for a few seconds and saw overlapping large scales in moonlight. It lowered him back down, and he paddled fast to the dock and did not experience it again despite many later trips.

The witness and companions were camping on a hilltop overlooking a valley and creek. Late at night the witness heard heavy bipedal steps climb a steep slope, stop, then run into the forest, sounds the companions also heard. About two hours later the group heard a single very loud scream that briefly silenced forest sounds. Around 2 or 3 AM a companion awoke to see a large arm reaching through the van window for food, and food was found missing and spilled, with gouges seen on the slope the next morning.

The guest's brother and a friend were elk hunting at Mount Rainier. They returned to find their camp destroyed, then slept in the pickup with a camper shell. Around 3:30 a.m. a human-like face appeared at the window, bared long canines, and violently rocked and collapsed the shell until the men fled at sunrise.

The witness parked his semi off the freeway to sleep around 3 a.m. with the truck off and windows open. He felt the truck shaken gently and then violently, then saw a large hairy upright creature take two strides into nearby young trees. He smelled a bad odor and heard it leaving, then drove away without stopping until Montana.

The witness and his wife returned after dinner to their closed campground to find their zipped tent unzipped, overturned, and contents strewn. While packing to leave for a motel, the wife saw a huge hairy figure that had been crouched by a tree stand, turn, and walk away silently. They drove to the valley that night and returned in daylight to find the branch it stood under was well above the witness's reach, convincing them it was not a bear but a Sasquatch that had ransacked the camp.
