Three young men walked a trail at night in a conservation area to look for a pond. Rocks were thrown toward two of them from the woods, strange pacing, a low growl, and rhythmic booming sounds followed them. They found fresh green trees snapped and laid across the trail blocking the path, then were hurried out by more rock throws and close movement before the woods went quiet and normal night sounds returned near the car.

He found a truck door open, then two rocks came from an uphill ridge, one landing in front of the truck and a larger one passing close to him. Two campers floating and fishing the Lower Buffalo River heard loud monkey-like vocalizations from the bank and later camped on a gravel bar. Through the night they reported repeated wood knocks, yells, chatter, whistles, a tree snap, and cantaloupe-sized rocks landing in the river from the ridge across from camp. They lit the camp, kept fire watch in shifts, and at dawn packed and paddled out after a final rock fell in front of them.

The witness was deer hunting alone from an elevated stand off a power line in a state wildlife management area on a December afternoon. After hearing heavy breathing and movement, the witness observed a large black hairy human-like figure first on all fours then sitting and standing. The figure vocalized in gibberish-like speech, screamed, grunted, approached to about 30 yards and remained for an extended period before tearing vegetation and moving off. While the witness fled toward a truck, movement paralleled the witness in the woods while vocalizations continued behind, suggesting a second individual, and the witness fired a shot in the air before driving away.

Ten people renting a cabin heard branch-breaking noises, bangs, sounds like throwing, and strange howls after midnight, along with a foul outdoor odor. Four of the group then saw a large black bipedal figure in a field in front of the cabin that turned and went back into the woods. The group then heard more walking, howls and breaking branches around the cabin and later found a footprint.

Loud bird-like whistling kept pace nearby, pebbles and rocks landed precisely at the feet, a large stick landed pointing at the witness, and loud trudging was heard. The witness backed down the road, then ran to a lit area as rapid movement rushed uphill faster than a person could move.

After throwing a large rock back, whistling erupted aggressively from a rocky hillside at the tree line where a flashlight showed nothing. The witness then heard heavy trudging and saw saplings shaking as something moved uphill to about two hundred feet within seconds.

The witness heard crashing movement, branches breaking, rocks banged together, and a large object thrown through the woods landing nearby. Birds, an owl, and distant dogs vocalized during the sequence, which ended with a long wail, after which the woods went quiet. The pair left the area the next morning.

They retreated inside as stones continued to strike the cabin on multiple sides. An unseen very large mover then rushed toward them through thick brush, prompting the group to leave for their vehicle.

A group camping near a river spent three late nights walking north of their campsite to look for Sasquatch. They claim loud tree knocks, howls, grunts, heavy bipedal movement and red glowing eyes, plus a shadowy figure that rose from about five feet to about eight feet tall. They also claim a glow stick left on a gravel road was later found moved to the base of a hollow tree.

The witness and two companions camped in the Mt Hood National Forest with a barrel of animal entrails intended as bait. Over three days they reported loud screams from a nearby ridge, nighttime wood knocks, heavy steps and snapping twigs, and found their camp table apparently bitten through. They moved the bait pile away from camp, later found most of it missing with a wet sweet dog-like odor at the site.

While on a camping trip, the witness hiked off trail at night to set snares for food. He heard rustling and sounds of bipedal footsteps paralleling him and reported seeing a tall shadow behind a tree that vanished under direct light. A large branch landed near him, prompting him to fire a flare gun as a warning, after which something large crashed away through brush sounding like a heavy person running with long strides. He returned to find his companions asleep and did not report the incident until later.
Tracks near Skamania County (2013)
In April 2013 the guest took his teenage son camping at a just-opened campground off Highway 14 along the Columbia River. During a daytime walk they found an old large track, opened clam shells out of place, a fresh vine-maple twist tucked behind a fir, an 18-inch footprint beneath it, and several pushed or tossed trees. That night in camp they heard branch-breaking, felt the tarps pulled, heard splashing, felt vibration waves, and heard two wood knocks before leaving exhausted in the morning.
