The witness was staying overnight at a forested campground when they heard four loud howls from about a mile away between 4 and 5 a.m. Each howl lasted a few seconds and was spaced minutes apart, with distant dogs barking afterward, and the sounds stopped at dawn. The witness first thought the sounds could be wildlife or a person but later felt they matched a televised Sasquatch howl recording described as deep and ape-like.

Two people on snowmobiles stopped at a bridge in a remote snowy area and removed their helmets. They heard repeated loud howl-like vocalizations from one direction, loud single knocks on a tree from another direction, and a large branch breaking. At dusk the witness gave a loud whoop and heard a return whoop from across the lake, followed by elk bugling and a loud knock from behind camp. After going to bed, the witness felt something heavy step on the tent edge and push on her head through the fabric, then heard soft bipedal steps around camp until dawn when another knock was heard.

The witness was sleeping in a tent at a lake campground with family when she awoke to repeated patterned clacking sounds from the south. Later she felt contact through the tent fabric, felt the foot of the tent lift and settle, heard movement and more clacking from two directions, and felt unable to move or speak. She awoke again later to distant clacking, and in the morning found no sign except deer tracks with the tent still staked.

After about 30 minutes an upright figure appeared over 100 yards away behind a fallen tree, showing its upper body for about 45 seconds before slipping behind a large tree out of view. The witness stayed longer, photographed deer, then inspected the spot and estimated size from the fallen tree but found no tracks.

The witness was sleeping in camp when awakened after midnight by loud rhythmic knocking from a ridge across camp, described as like wood striking a tree. The knocking occurred in repeated episodes separated by about 20-minute pauses over about an hour. The witness woke a brother who briefly listened, and the next morning the group found no deer, elk or cattle in the immediate area.

Shortly before midnight during a multi-camp expedition, the witness borrowed a handheld thermal imager to look for the cause of a branch break near camp. Through the imager he watched a large unclothed human-like figure partly behind a tree about 30-50 yards away for over two minutes as it moved its head, dropped to the ground, crawled and gestured, then stood motionless with its back to him. He left to get recording equipment, but the figure was gone when another researcher checked moments later.

Glancing in the rearview mirror, the witness saw a very tall, broad, dark upright creature standing in the middle of the road behind the vehicle. After stopping, the witness watched it pivot, take a step to the side of the road, and disappear down a steep rocky slope. No definite footprints were found in the gravel where it had stood.

Three hunters were sleeping in a tent at an elk hunting camp when one stepped out around 2:30 a.m. to urinate and swept a flashlight around the perimeter. An unseen animal nearby emitted an extremely loud, long scream lasting about 10-12 seconds and fled through dense timber up a steep ridge, continuing to scream from a great distance. The sound woke multiple nearby camps and was described as unlike any bear or cougar, and no sign was found the next morning on frozen ground.

The witness later wondered if the sounds could have been something throwing rocks toward camp.
