Two rock climbers hear wood knocks and footsteps in the early morning at a trailhead
Two hikers arrived at a trailhead in the early morning to climb and heard knocks from uphill and downhill, followed by stick-breaking sounds like footsteps. They knocked back and received responses, filmed the exchange, then heard further knocks and repetitive rock-on-tree tapping as they started up the trail. They saw nothing in the dense woods and eventually left.

The witness and a companion stopped off a forest road so the witness could target shoot while the companion waited at the truck. After the witness returned to the road, both heard repeated very loud cracking snaps from a wooded hilltop about 100 yards away, spaced about 30 seconds apart, along with movement and bark-ripping sounds. The witness walked partway up the hill filming with a cell phone and captured at least one loud crack before returning to the truck and leaving.

The witness was camping alone with his dog and stepped outside the tent around 1:30 a.m. He heard a very loud siren-like sound lasting several seconds, immediately followed by three whoops from about 70 feet away inside the treeline. He scanned with a flashlight, heard nothing further, and returned to the tent with his dog, which had stared fixedly toward the sound.

The contractors reported having rocks thrown at them over two days, with one rock hitting a worker, followed on two later evenings by loud growls from woods only yards behind them. The witness was bear hunting with two family members near Coal Lake and stopped to examine scat in the road. After taking a rifle from the truck, the witness heard thrashing in the brush below the road that appeared to parallel movement along the road. The source could not be seen, and the witness left feeling uneasy and frightened.
Group of friends have possible late night interaction in an old rock quarry near Granite Falls
Six people hiked up a forest road at night to revisit the witness's prior sighting area. After making knocks and whoop calls, they reported hearing a return knock, whoops, a guttural grumble and a moan, and seeing multiple eye-shines. Later in a quarry area they reported watching a human-like figure in night-vision goggles that crouched when noticed, followed by a rock thrown nearby, after which they left.

The witness and a companion were driving at night when headlights illuminated a large hairy figure crossing the road in front of the truck. The figure moved quickly down a steep bank, across the road, and into dense vegetation, disappearing before the witness could exit the vehicle, though crashing sounds were heard afterward. The dog in the vehicle reacted by whimpering and fixating on the woods.

They reported hearing howls, a whoop and slow knocks, then seeing at least eight pairs of eye shine positioned around the vehicle. The driver then left the area, and the group planned to return with recording equipment.

The witness and a companion camped beside a river and heard loud yelling that dropped into a groan or growl, followed hours later by closer calls, heavy footfalls, rustling on a hillside, and a large splash in the river. They could see nothing by flashlight from their vehicle. Shortly after, occupants of a passing car stopped and said a massive hairy figure had just run across the road in front of them.

While camping, the witness walked with a flashlight across a bridge at night and saw a pair of large yellow eyes blocking a gate reflector. After watching eye movements and a dark shape, the witness fled to camp, returned with a companion, and saw the same eyes approaching on another road while the companion saw nothing. The pair searched by vehicle without finding it, and a later site visit involved re-creation measurements.
Man hears strange calls while hiking near swamp at Wallace Falls State Park
The witness was hiking with a dog toward Wallace Lake when both stopped after hearing a loud human-like yell from across a marshy bog. The sound repeated about a minute later from the same forested area about 75 yards away. The witness looked but saw no person or animal. The witness continued hiking without further incident.
Daylight encounter while hiking on the Tulalip Indian Reservation
The witness was hiking on a logging road after riding a bike when they heard a branch snap, brush crashing, and a loud strike like wood on wood. A rock was then thrown from bushes, and the witness saw a hand and a muscular, dark brown, approximately 6-foot figure facing away with a V-shaped tuft of hair on top. The witness shouted at the figure, which remained still facing away, then left the area the way they came.

Late at night the witness walked home alone along a familiar wooded trail and heard something moving parallel in the brush, breathing heavily. When the witness stopped the sounds stopped, and when walking resumed the follower kept pace. The witness ran toward home and the follower pursued onto gravel and pavement on two feet while making low growls and calls and trying to cut the witness off. At the house the witness's dog confronted the unseen pursuer, which halted very close before withdrawing into the brush.

The witness was sunbathing alone on a log at the brushy end of a lake in the mid-afternoon. A very loud, sustained howl rising from low to high pitch was heard at very close range, ending in a hoop-like sound, followed by silence. The witness saw nothing in the dense brush, quickly dressed, and hiked back to the vehicle while repeatedly looking back.
Large rock thrown while two friends sit by campfire on Green Mountain
Two companions drove to a lookout on Green Mountain to camp for the night and sat by a campfire. The witness heard branch and twig breaks approaching, then a stick flew over the truck, followed by a basketball-sized rock landing a few feet from the fire. Without seeing the source, they put out the fire and left quickly.
Possible vocalizations heard by resident outside Verlot
The witness was at home in the evening when barking dogs drew him outside onto the porch. From a distance he heard loud repeated vocalizations that began low and rose to a scream, apparently moving west past his location and then back south before fading after about five minutes. He described the sound as unlike any animal he knew from hunting experience and later felt it matched an archival scream recording except for a lower start.

Six people sitting around a campfire heard a very close, loud two-part vocalization described as whooing/moaning followed after a pause by a booming scream, then heard something moving across the creek. No visual contact was reported. The next day witnesses found a freshly broken/twisted sapling and barefoot-like prints of multiple sizes in a sandy area and made casts of tracks.
Possible "Ohio" Howls heard near Granite Falls
The witness was on a ladder cleaning the gutter of his two-story house in the morning when he heard a series of low-pitched, long howls. Dogs began barking once the howling started. He said the sound was distinctly different from any canine howl or bark and was uncannily similar to an Ohio howl recording posted on the same website.
Campers find a large track
Two companions camping near Index walked down an overgrown disused road to photograph the river. Along the way they noticed small trees broken off high above the ground, then found a single very large right footprint in a soft spot in the road. The print was much larger than the companion's size 10.5 to 11 foot, no other prints showed in the firm soil, and they photographed it for scale.

The witness and companion had parked by a lake while driving to find a fishing spot. From across the lake they watched two hairy figures walking upright toward thick brush. The witness briefly returned to the car for optics, but both figures had entered the brush by the time of return. No tracks or other signs were later recovered.
