The witness rented a cabin with his fiancee for her birthday, later joined by her brother and his girlfriend. Through the night they heard huge footsteps running from under the elevated deck, movement in tall weeds, distant yelling, a loud branch break followed by silence, and patterned taps on the cabin wall above the bed. The brother-in-law reported seeing a large furry head and shoulders rising below the deck, and neighbors were seen shining flashlights into the valley.
