Whoop in Oregon
Account
Over several night visits during an active ridge fire the guest whooped and within seconds large Douglas firs outside the burn crashed down. He exchanged whoops for up to forty-five minutes, captured video audio of one fall, and brought companions who were startled. On a later dark visit with a dog present the animal became anxious, tree knocks and loud stomping steps were heard, owls called from multiple directions, and activity later faded with rain.
