Wood knock in Maryland

While hunting alone in Pocomoke State Forest over many years, the guest repeatedly heard single knocks and monotone whistles with no farm or people nearby. In one area crossing a ditch the woods would go silent and he felt watched about forty percent of visits. He once found only the front half of a deer lodged six feet up in a tree fork with no remains below.
