Wood knock near Homer, Alaska
Account
The witness reports numerous trips on a trail across from Homer where knocking sounds move around the hikers and deep angry growls unlike bears are heard. Friends found large footprints and made casts about twelve inches long with toes. Local tradition warns against going west toward Port Chatham because a hairy man caused the village to be abandoned.
