Whistle in Alaska
Account
After moving to Alaska, the witness camped alone with her dog about ten miles down a maze of trails. She felt watched and exposed, then heard a constant person-like whistle that did not match birds or other animals she knew. She walked with the dog toward the sound to check for an injured person, but it went dead silent and she felt it was none of her business, so she returned to the truck and stayed the night.
