While eating at a cafe months later, the witness overheard patrons discussing Bigfoot and mentioned the earlier sightings. One patron said his grandfather had seen Bigfoot families in the same area in the 1960s and had homesteaded nearby. The patron affirmed belief in the witness account and noted the homestead was a few miles from the sighting mile marker.
